Hello. I've been gone from GCII for a couple years now but have been getting a hankering to play again. I've been on Windows 7 for over a year so none of my old install files are available on my hard drives. Initially, I figured it should be no sweat if I could just get Impulse installed and then I could log on. But now I see that Impulse is gone, and does not seem to be available on Gamestop's site. So what do I do now? I still
Wow, it seems I opened a can of fireworks here! This is wonderful; having an active discussion on this matter is a great thing. I need to do some more playtesting, but even so, having an "actual number" on the colony "Summary Screen" would help, EVEN IF that number is partially or wholly a product of various ability levels, race benefits, government style, good vs. evil, etc. Just seeing "+10%" doesn't help me much. Unless, that is, I take the time to go
Yeah, I too would like a ship building queue. Rally points as suggested above are only a partial solution. 1. Rally points are only effective for building a fleet or group of ships that are being built by different planets...and you don't care how far apart they are. 2. But Rally Points are not effective if the ships must come from widely dispersed planet starports, especially if it's still early in the game and I haven't discovered warp drive or extensive mi
So it's only additive "in the square". That makes a difference. Interesting also, the answer regarding starbases (Q4). Thank you both for taking the time!
Hi. Got some questions here. I "could" figure it out with playtesting and A/B comparisons, but really that would take too much time; time that I would rather spend trying to WIN my game. ;) Q1. Do mulitple factories have an additive effect with regards to future social project building and/or military (ship) building? Sometimes it seems the answer is "yes," but other times, I'm not so sure. Q2. Assuming that the answer to Q1 above is "y
