Updated and still have the same issue.

I tried the latest ati catalyst drivers for the 9700 pro which was listed as the catalyst 8.8. I then tried the omega ati drivers because I had better luck in the past with those over the official ati but it made no difference in regards to this issue I am having. Also I told it to update the game right after I installed it... or I thought so at least. So, I just bought the Gold Edition of GalCiv II and I can't even play it. Everytime I load the game I can start seting up a game but I notice lines flashing in and out of the screen and is then followed the screen blacks out, sometimes coming back, but mostly when it blacks out, it will not come back and I have to hard reboot my computer. I have tried updating the drivers but it has made little difference. I know my video card supports direct x 9 too. Debug Message:&nbs
