Yeah, I was hoping to see a key in my inbox yesterday but no dice. I'm wondering if that process is just backed up or delayed or if I need to do something else I haven't done. I sent my buddy the free coupon code and he used it on stardock. The purchase and that buddy code all happened last week.

Any info on when the next round of steam keys will be mailed? Is there a private forum where gameplay is being discussed and can I get there now or does that not happen until I receive the nda/steam key? Pumped on the concept of this one. It sounds awesome. Buddy and I can't wait to play.
+XP stacks. The very existence of these traits is my pet peeve about the game.
Yeah I've only finished one game of LH, but I thought it was a bit odd that these traits exist. I'm not seeing much reason to take anything else. Indeed, the heroes of AI that I made to surrender all had taken these abilities. I suspect the place for the mechanic is map size. I could see where XP would n
The thing with chain proficiency that I don't quite get is that I don't see chain anywhere. It isn't in the tech tree and I've only ever seen one piece of it as a random drop from a quest. What am I missing?
That's pretty funny. I don't think something works right on my machine. It just flat seems to be bugged when it comes to NPCs attacking cities. Mainly, it NEVER ever happens. Not NPC enemy armies (even though they decalre war and attack my armies in the wild) and not wandering heroes. Wandering heroes will say ooo thta city looks ripe for the taking or w/e but then they go piddle around with wolves or fondle themselves in the mountains. I dunno what they're doing. Attacking my cities
Her book will be the same every single time no matter how many times she reads it. Eventually, the AI will be better and games will be much different on subsequent play throughs. Right now, it does seem like some numbers and balance are out of whack. That does suck if all you see is a black screen. I have nvidia and latest drivers... not sure what gives there.
You have to equip stuff. It doesn't equip automatically that I have seen. Can click the sword next to HP on the main map with the sov/champ you want to equip stuff on selected. Then just click the thing you want to equip. There are healing spells you get later if you are a Kingdom nation. Cities are still usually the fastest way since mana regen from casting heal will take awhile.
If it wasn't a bug, then why did Blizzard patch it? By your reasoning, they should have just said what you said. People lost brand new graphics cards to this "not-a-bug".
It doesn't have anything to do with reasoning. What I said is a fact. They very well could've said just that and they would've been 100% correct.
Then do it out of love like everyone else.
It also burned out graphics cards because of a bug where frames weren't limited on the menus.
Sigh... I agree with the essence of your post that gaming reviews are a total farce, but I really wish people would stop spewing this particular line of ignorance. Failing to frame limit is not the most optimal thing to do... You certainly don't "need" that umph for a menu. Still, this equates to "using hardware a
I think hurl boulder is undefendable... but uh... good luck with that, :)
I have seen something similar. For me at least, I de-selected my caster, selected something random, a city, another unit, etc... then selected caster again and casted away.
I guess if you are in the business you have to worry about reviews and whatnot. But I'd like to think that there are a large portion of gamers who realize that the vast majority of gaming reviews are all total crap these days. Fortunately, Elemental seems like a game that may have a substantial portion of its target users under that umbrella. There are some little things here and there I've run into. Still, I haven't seen a single thing that was even as bad, much less worse, than
I've suggested multiple times a much better way of handling this. I guess we can look forward to even more severe griefing. People will be afk'ing and they will be suiciding. Thanks so much for that....
I haven't read the entire thread so if it was suggested already.... For most of the custom game options why not just show the default in parenthesis and then provide drop-down lists of incremental settings and allow people to pick the actual setting? If you show the default, people can kind of figure for themselves how much different some other actual # would be.
More consequence for disconnecting
This will alienate new/casual players. I'm totally cool w
Hey, I think I was playing against you.
Ok, here's what you probably need to do.... *Only on one of the machines* Run ImpuleReactorOptions.exe in the /bin folder of Demigod. In the port number boxes put 6133 and 6153. This is make that machine use different ports than the other one, which is the likely source of the problem. You may need to configure router ports if these aren't already opened. While proxy or NAT might get through, the performance is always better (even if marginally) if
Windowed mode is usually going to increase performance because it is usually going to be a lower resolution. The same resolution windowed vs fullscreen will probably be better in full screen mode. You should definitely try lowering your resolution no matter if you run full screen or windowed if you're having performance issues.
So far in my experience what 'breaks' favor is switching back and forth between sp/lan games and mp. I've had luck with creating copies of the .prefs file and swapping them in and out. Use one for sp and one for mp. You can also just delete the prefs file each time, but you will never accumulate sp favor and it loses achievements and tournaments in progress. Anyway if you know how to make a batch file and use it to do that copying magic and start the game, you can use
I think it would be more productive to say why something sucks instead of just saying it sucks. Since it's obvious you think the player matching system sucks... What sucks about it? Is it just pantheon? Skirmish too?
so I dropped to even the teams.
Ferris Bueler, you're my hero.
In my opinion, one player should not have the power to knock another player out of the game.
Does leaving not almost always effectively kick everyone out of the game? This isn't empowering anyone to grief any more than they can now. It is limiting the damage they can do by making it only impact one.
System used a UDP transfer protocol instead of using a server.
It's more UDP vs TCP than UDP vs server. Plenty of games use UDP.
UDP assumes that error checking and correction is either not necessary or performed in the application, avoiding the overhead of such processing at the network interface level. Time-sensitive applications often use UDP because dropping packets is preferable to using delayed packets. <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_Da
Fail.
Why? Right now it is like picking every other player and making them quit. Picking one and giving them something instead of a waste of time seems much better. I agree that on the surface it is 'OMG, you made me quit because someone else did?!!'. That is only a knee-jerk reaction. The net result would mean more people getting to enjoy the game they are in.
