Vista Black Screen in Animated Wallpapers WinCustomize Forums

Having an issue in Vista where when the desktop starts I have my wallpaper and then the screen goes black. This happens on every startup. Anyone else have this issue? I can get my wallpaper back but it is a pain to have to do this on every startup. Thanks

Found the solution. I have to right-click, then select pause. Then I can use the close box again. The program seems to be running all the time until I do that sequence. Thanks

Dreamscapes 3 update in Animated Wallpapers WinCustomize Forums

After I updated DS 3, the close window X box stopped working. Now I have to right click and then left click to close a window. This is very annoying, anyone have a fix? Thanks I'm running Win XP and this is the red X close box in the upper right corner.

I have the same problem on XP with update to Deskscapes 3. Windows will not close with red x button. If you left click it will close but this is annoying. Any way to fix this? Thanks

Deskscapes 3 Codec Problem-Kinda Solved in Animated Wallpapers WinCustomize Forums

I can't get an mpeg2 codec to work on my XP system. Is there a freeware codec that will play Dreams in Deskscapes 3? The icons for those videos don't display anything and I get a dialog box that claims I don't have the codec. I play dvds on my system all the time. Which one will work? Help! I am sorry, I was hasty to judge. The new Deskscapes has a learning curve to be dealt with. On Vista I am having success running it, on XP, the previews take forever to load. I have a fast pc and 1 1/2 Gigs of memory so something is not working as well as it could. Thanks

I wish I had been informed Deskscapes 3 was a beta. Impulse forgot to mention this. It isn't listed in Vista programs and I can only get dreams to display full screen by accident. Sometimes it works sometimes not. The new UI is nice but is not wallpaper anymore, just a window. I paid for the new version but wish I had the old one back. Desktops 3 won't display wallpaper full screen in Vista. It isn't even listed in the Vista programs. All that is available is to view wallpapers in the window. This is awful, please fix it or get the old version back. There was no mention this was a beta, I would not have paid for an upgrade if I had known. Regretfully, metal1_99
