I'm playing TA, patched to the latest version of course. At least I have all 3 games installed I mean...I'm currently starting on the first chapter / game the Dread Lords though. Thanks for the tips so far, sure that they will help tremendously !!

Thanks Davabled, that may explain much of it, I had at least 5-6 planets with considerably more than 20 billion. I had assumed as long as you had enough farms / food to sustain them, and the morale boosting techs that "more" people were better...larger tax base and all ( I kept the tax rate fairly low...below 30% ). So, I guess, from what you are saying here, that never put farms on planets, if they already have a large population base, as that just increases both the amount of people a
Hello all, I've just recently ( last week ) started playing this great game, and I am having some difficulties with keeping my people happy and my approval rate decent. Here is what I did. 1. Played on a large map 2. Simple difficulty ( my first game afterall ) 3. I chose human race, and started as "technoligist" the
Er...why not do a bit of both? Isn't that sensible? Bike a bit first to get in some exercise and then game guilt free ;)
I am curious...when your first start up the game, how come there is not a button you can clic, at the options screen for a "ship building tutorial". It would be a very nice feature, that you could just start up and practice putting ships together...without having to be playing the game. No real need to have a save function built in...just be nice to be able to do this before you started playing...would help us new to the g
Will this work with TA and why do I have to register on yet "another" forum to download this mod...makes little sense...anyhow will this mod work with TA?
I just got done updating this evening...before that I could use the GC2 icon, or in Stardock or Impulse to start GC2. Now after updating I can only start up DA, or TA...GC2 cannot be started up using any of the icons / shortcuts at all. I have tried switching to that chapter as well and start up that way...I get nothing. Should I uninstall all 3, redownload / update and try again? EDIT: Please disregard...think I figured it out.
Ok, I tied to use the search engine first, as I'm quite sure this has been asked, but I could find no information by using that method. It seems you can Archive / Backup using either Stardock, or Impulse...does it matter which is used, and is one preferable over the other? Is using either method interchangeable with the other, and if using to restore at some point there is really no difference? It's either tha
Thanks Kryo !! So unless, the first and / or second parts are different no update is needed :) Would it hurt anything to do so?
So...before I start playing, then I should update the DA to the latest version is what I think your saying? I'm only asking, as I'm not too sure how this update system works...I know in some other games if you update a prior expansion "after" patching the game with a later expansion it can possibly break a game, or keep it from even starting up. Thanks for the help !!
I just now finished purchasing the "Ultimate Bundle" and have registered it. I used Stardock to install everything and register it. I just now ran "Impulse" for the first time, and it says that there is an update available for Dark Avatar. Impulse shows my DA at version 1.80g.100, but shows a version 1.80g.103 as available. Is something wrong here, since
Thanks for the very quick informative response Kyro! So...I could buy GC2 Gold, off of Amazon for $18.95 ( new and sealed ), and then use Stardock to buy / upgrade the game to the latest version "Twilight of the Arnor"? Or I could just buy the "Ultimate Bundle" and then I use Stardock to download / install it and be done with it... if I read that correctly? It's only a $10.00 difference, ( 2 gallons of Gas ROFL ) getting it as a whole from you direct using SDC/Impulse...so I'
Hello, I plan on purchasing GC2, but I need some clarification first, before I actually do so. First, I've created my account here, and downloaded Stardock...which I have not installed as of yet. I am debating if I should purchase the full digital program here, or get the entire series of GC2 on retail discs. I can save a "considerable" amount of money going the second route, so I am lea
