What I want to see are formations and definitely a system which allows you to take advantage of mobile forces. Both of these were a huge part of A Song of Ice and fire, and since this game is influenced by the series it should reflect that. btw, great idea, NuclearEngine! something like that would make my day.

Woah! way too much lighting! Tone it down!
isn't stardock going to comment about all this? I'm just wondering what stardock is planning. Personally, I'd love to see a free-map type battle system, with varied terrain that can drasticly change the face of a battle.
have any of you read A Game of Thrones? it was one of Brad's sources of inspiration for this game, you know. anyways, in the book armies are EXTREMELY hard to maintain in one place. You get that many men and horses in one area and you end up stripping the countryside bare. Plus you get diseases from contaminated water, and the army becomes a sitting duck just waiting for enemy raiding parties and cavalry. Therefore, it think that the "Stack of Death" would only b
If people will take notice of reply #10 by jbrunhaver, he's mentioned two excellent movies by Hayao Miyazaki. These two movies (Howl's castle + Princess Mononoke) both present a very different view of magic than what's seen in LOTR or A Song of Ice and Fire. Also worth mentioning would be Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, athough perhaps that's too sci-fi. Maybe giant bugs and giant fungi? [e digicons]:pout:[/e]
forgive me for being an ignoramus, but what is HDR? Oh, and I'm also concerned about what units will end up looking like. Will it be anything like what's seen in the screenshots on the media page? To be honest those don't look very good [e digicons]:([/e] .
[quote]I think minions should run back to the crystal of health and wait for the general to come back. This prevents the enemy from taking out the general (who should have low HP) and then making the general useless for even longer. If as you stated, it take a long time and a lot of money to get a full complement of creeps, then if you kill the general and that kills his creep, that makes a huge difference. If you have to wait to respawn and wait for the troops to be brought back (and it take
I want GW umm, off topic. Special abitities for general-controlled units sounds like a good idea to me.
have any of you been to china? no. the computer game market in china is HUGE! at least the size of korea's
you know, it is due to unreasoning fear of pirates like this that people think that computer gaming is dying :annoyed:. If getting updates from pirates is so difficult, then of course people will want the original version instead.
well, then, maybe some spawn units could have some special abilities
 I agree with innociv: we might come up with a good idea without having even played this thing.
I think that the minotaurs should be heavy infantry and there should be some sort of light infantry as well. Mooey the Cow's arguement works if there is more than one special spawn point. :-"
still, better get there before the pirates do. The pirates won't be able to get patches for one thing. :hrmph:
What I'd like to see in Demigod is some unit variety. from the screenshots it looks like the only basic foot soldiers there are are minotaurs. Couldn't you have humans or elves come out of the portals as well, even if it's just to break the monotony of battling the same thing over and over?:p Also, I haven't seen any archer units yet. Will there be any?
exactly. if stardock doesn't sell demigod in china, the pirates definately will.
I think you could have formation options like in aoe and aom where you could have a line, staggered line, box, spread out, flank, etc. that way you could select what sort of formation to use for a certain situation. or maybe something like the method of making formations in LOTR BFME 2 where you drag your mouse to preveiw and adjust the formation. maybe you could have a blend of both where you can select the type of formation, than adjust it to your preferences. I just want something that wi
also, most of the cafes have good enough hardware to play SupCom at least.
well, the internet cafes have to buy the game first before letting people use it...
I was just wondering if General Demigods would be able to form groups and then order them to form a certain formation. This would be nice so that you could keep your army together and not have the faster units run off and then an enemy demigod comes in and kills all your catapultasauri or something. Gallant Dragon
I'm also concerned a bit with the unit variety. I mean, wouldn't it get boring after a while just killing minotaurs? Why can't you guys have, like, humans as basic foot soldiers, then minotaurs as heavier assault troops, and also maybe some sort of archer as well? It would look nicer on screenshots at least...
LOL energy bars :p
How about permanant healthbars and energy bars for the demigods and rollover ones for everything else? or perhaps an option for it?
