Would the research cost bug be the cause for this?

I say wait until the bugs are ironed out before you buy the game. TA has some major oversights at the moment.
Stardock can you please release a hotfix before June? Games until then are mostly broken or unplayable with this problem.
Same here. Auto-attack also chooses targets inefficiently, (Traveling four tiles to kill an enemy, and then four more to go back where it came from to kill the one that it used to be near.)
I quit a game because of this, there was no way I could catch up with the top AI players. I saw a hike in technology costs across the board, I'm not sure how drastic it was, but it was enough for me to admit there was no way I could win.
Petition to bring back a revamped version of the old invasion screen?
Amusing story, that's quite funny but I can imagine how anti-climatic it would be. I have the impression that the AI is too emboldened by a higher military strength when really compared to the actual damage they can do to your empire. 100 worth of military in the hands of a player is just as good as 150 in the hands of the AI often. Maybe that needs to be tweaked completely, (maybe Troop Carriers need to affect military strength as well?)
Sorry Kyro, I deleted the folder containing those files yesterday. If it happens again I'll post it. Graphics card by ATI. Are there plans to improve the ascension victory scenario?
Bring back the old invasion screen. (To be honest I thought that improving its graphics was what they had in mind for TA). Here's a suggestion on the ascension victory. Obtaining ascension starbases to win is a good addition to victory options. Having "Korath Clan -- 1000 Weeks until Victory" appear in the top-left corner is alarming at first and later a constant nagging to intervene. It isn't enjoyable to sit back and watch it tick down unless you want to risk war by getting y
After finishing a long game which is my first Twilight of the Arnor game since it's release there is a couple issues that bother me. I'm dissappointed at this game being released and announced publicly as now having "general availability"... It was always gererally availabile during it's beta run, anyone could test it, and the announcement of TA coming "April 30" led me to believe it was actually finished. After spending quite a bit of time on it I found myself playing a beta release. I
