TES Nexus is a start for a reference of Oblivion mods. Arwen's oblivion journal provides a personal commentary on a set of selected mods, for more of an intimate guide. Knock yourself out! [e digicons];P[/e] Edit: Whup, Kodiak888 beat me to half of it... too tired.

Yotopia: connect the dots. The sound of red wine sucking through my teeth. (After hours perks - you gotta have at least one!) Fingers whacking on a keyboard knocking out e-mail responses. The sound of my teeth grinding about the fact I'm still at bloody work! [e digicons]:annoyed:[/e] [e digicons]>_>[/e] [e digicons];P[/e]
I'll add my two cents here as I recently had a similar issue: motherboard finally gave up the ghost after five years of abuse and my one year old daughter banging on the on/off switch as a form of 'sparkly power light LED entertainment'. [e digicons]:O[/e] The hard drive managed to survive this and was okay. Rest of system didn't fare so well! Time for a complete gut-out of box and upgrade! Happy days. [e digicons]:sun:[/e] So picked up new motherboard, CPU, 2
Yah-hay! Finally got around to purchasing and installing an updated video card for the old motherboard. Took a while to find a supplier still selling AGP cards! Should let me squeeze a few more years yet out of the old rig, before having to bite the bullet and replace board, ram, card, etc. Made a massive improvement to the graphics of the game by doing this! The ships now circle around the planets now, rather than bouncing around in and out of existence like an orbiting electron! <
Yup, I've had the insane rapid flashing mini-map triangle as well and get it on a semi-regular basis. Perhaps Stardock sticks their programmer's under rapidly strobing lights in an attempt to get them to work faster, or decrease their insanity? ;) Could also possibly be due to the fact my video card is now well over four years old. (Moosetek mentions this maybe a reason why). Other graphical glitches I've noticed occasionally: Every now and then on the colony overview tab, th
I think you could simplify this quite a bit, and make it so it wouldn't be too mammoth an undertaking. The AI already know what's going on, they just need a line that says "Player x just gave my enemy stuff..." From there it's just a weighted random depending on whether the AI is evil and militaristic vs passive and peaceful.
Ockham's razor: Could work I guess. Keep it as simple as possible and let the mechanics introduce the complexity. I'll tell you what just p
One planet brings with it an inherent "we can't just nuke them, we need this place as much as they do..." mentality.
I dunno. Seems to be a few entities out there who appear quite keen on firing off a few of those suckers regardless of the over-arching consequences, if they could manage to get their hands on them!
In addition, you would probably have a much better chance of getting DoW'd by an evil or military race for helping their enemies than a friendly
The AI should be able to recognize this, issue ultimatums and eventually reach the point of "enough is enough. you want to help them, then as far as I'm concerned you're on their side and fighting with them. Therefore, you are now also the enemy and I declare war..." Although they'd probably say it without the "therefore" cuz it makes them sound stuffy.
Sounds good in theory, but wonder if this would really work in practice? Just imagine if that happened in the 'real worl
Subtle difference a full quote can make - mind you at 95% Tax I'm surprised they didn't put you on the stretching rack
I think they did. My arms hurt.
But then I am a civilised Terran *snif*
Ha! Well, as an ex-pat convict (two centuries removed) I did spend a few years on the ol' dart, attempting to gain some civility, but failed miserably. Although I must admit missing the inns and ale houses dotted around the country-side, drinking the l
At this point I would suggest going up the difficulty level a bit further than you would as such, and discover the game level where you are zapped and cremated on a regular basis
Yeesh, block your ears and start singing loudly on that suggestion QwertyUiop1011! I ambitiously upped the difficulty levels and map size in an attempt to further understand the galaxy, tried a few unconventional tactics to see what happens, (95% tax anyone? Geez, I was expecting them to
Oh, and to all the mathwizzes out there. The game released the 30th of April.
Yup, taking the quiz... 30th Apr - Week 0 7th May - Week 1 14th May - Week 2 21st May - Week 3 28th May - Week 4 4th June - Week 5 8th June: Reply 7# " ... 7 week to late ..." Nope, only count five weeks and four days on that sucker! 11th June - Week 6 18th June - Week 7 no, no ... wait'a'sec ... 13th June
Like it or not, us as consumers don't give a shit about the reasons behind it. When my gas prices go up, do I give a fire truck about the excuses the oil companies made?
Getting a bit off (well, way off really) topic here, but how can anybody not find this highly amusing! And yet it's this type of attitude that's seems to have led to an insane blind consumerism in a country tanking to third world status with crippling debt, offshored economies and produc
BoogieBac, I reckon you should at least leave the Mind Control Centre patch fix off the agenda for a couple more years yet. Gotta give the punters SOMETHING to gripe about! ;) Good to hear about the patch. Any ideas if this will affect current save games, or they should work okay? Takes me ages to get through a tiny map as it is! Life somehow manages to keep tapping me on the back with a million other things to do ... like knocking all the bricks off the house. Don't ask.
Arstal's comment was along the lines I was thinking of, after reading again through the posts, and the 'doubling up of tech point's' comments throughout. It's almost as if the Z factor starts at 2, then jumps to 4, 8, 16, etc. Is there a possibility it would work more effectively (and almost practically unnoticeable until the end stages of massive map games), if the z factor started off as a fraction, then worked up on a gradual curved scale? IE: starts off at 0.01 and works up exponent
I guess a few of the older gamers around would remember the 'good ole day's of purchasing a game on floppy's ... and that was all you got; Bugs and all. Nope, no such thing as a patch. You had to make do with the game as is or go outside and play ball instead. Now I'm not saying that it wasn't frustrating as all hell, but I don't think that 7 weeks is a terribly long time-span to wait for a patch (as long as it address the major issues when released), for a game that most of us will mor
Hacker on the C64. Took me ages to figure out what the game was supposed to be about, probably 'cause I didn't bother reading the manual. Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever read any manuals before hoiking in to playing most games! Play first, ask questions later. ;) And head over heels. Great old school isometric puzzle game played hot-swapping with my brothers. A reasonably faithful remake can be found over at retrospec.
Does the archiving set itself up as an ISO image burn to disk, or does it back itself up in an encrypted Impulse format, meaning that Impulse needs to be installed first? I kinda like being able to burn archives to an old skool CD install state, for when I go for a 'spring clean' and wipe the whole hard drive. ;) There also doesn't seem to be any mention of the download size of Arnor or bundled pack. Anyone able to tell me the size of the downloads? Thanks.
