Well I tried all that and no luck, so I tried to download and install the Impulse version of Demigod and that also doesn't work. So at this point I'm guessing it's something to do with my computer. -Rune-

I saw that thread previously, thanks. I've already tried uninstalling and reinstalling Demigod with no change, but haven't fully removed Steam. I'll give that a go and see if it helps. -Rune-

Hi everyone, I recently purchased Demigod off of Steam, although I already had an Impulse version but I wanted to keep everything centralized on one platform...however I'm having some MAJOR issues getting the game to actually launch. When I try to launch Demigod it doesn't do ANYTHING. The cursor spins for about 5 seconds, and then goes back to normal. No popups, no acount registration, nothing. Demigod.exe shows very briefly in the Task Manager,

All I had to do was login to multiplayer, then back out and he was selectable for me. -Rune-

Still didn't work, so I tried Impulse and it's all sorted now. One thing I did notice was that when I then went back to SDC it asked to update Dark Avatar ... even though the version installed by Impulse was higher! (1.80g.103 vs 1.80g.100) ...anyways. Thanks for the support! -Rune-

Thanks. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling SDC, and then removing and reinstalling GC2 + expansions. That's currently running (takes a long time to download it all...) If that doesn't work i'll give Impulse a try. Thanks -Rune-

I have a very similar problem, where the Dark Avatar expansion will completely download but when it starts to extract it will get stuck at: Extracting: DACampagnText_Genocide.xml .... 1% complete. It's been 1% complete for 18+ hours now (I left it running overnight). I have SDC ver 2.54.520 release build 167. I just recently installed GalCiv2 via the SDC download as well (but I think i originally bought it and installed from CD).
