I have the same problem and just tried what was recommended here and though Impulse detected Dark Avatar it does not detect GalCiv II. This is really a problem because it was asking me to install Dread Lords to play DA (even though it IS installed) and I could not launch either game. Had to un-install and reinstall from the CDs again. I'm downloading the games via Impulse it while I play the outdated CD version. Once that is done, I'll have to uninstall the CD versions and re-install

Hey all, got a quick technical question. All help appreciated. I purchased GalCiv 2 (The pack that comes with DL and DA only) a couple of years ago from Amazon, installed it, registered it with Impulse (which is awesome by the way), played it, all with no problems. I played it for a long time, then life took over and I had to uninstall it. Fast forward about a year later to nowadays when I decided to revisit it. I installed it from the CD and everything is fine with th
Yes, I'm sure we overthrew the Iraqi government.
Pardon sir, but I fail to see the American victory in your statement. I'm sure I must have been living under a rock because I completely missed the parade where all the soldiers came back home to the arms of their loved ones as the international community applauded the U.S. for its bravery in ridding the world of evil and tyranny that was sure to bring the downfall to modern civilization. You are not offering a proper

I was replying to another thread and had this idea. This is a video I stumbled upon a few months back and it really slapped my eyes open and changed my mind about a lot of things. I think it is a video everyone should watch at least once. So please, go ahead: (This isn't some weird scheme, just a pure selfless attempt of mine to have others appreciate something beautiful) http://youtube.com/watch?v=2pfwY2TNehw Please do come back and comment on what you thi
To add... I think ALL OF YOU should watch this video: After you watch it, have everyone you know watch it, and have them show it to everyone they know and so on. It answers the question of this and many other similar threads everywhere: http://youtube.com/watch?v=2pfwY2TNehw Please, do come back and say what you thought of it.
America is taking all the right steps that will lead it into decline from its #1 spot. I'm uncertain who will take up the top dog position after us but I do know that with the way things are going we will knock ourselves down VERY soon. For example, the recent xenophobia the US is adapting; wanting to kick out all the illegals and basically halt immigration (unless it comes as rich investors). THAT is already a step-back, think about it, this nation was FOUNDED by immigrants under the
Wow, you got the odds stacked against you. But listen, you don't need a CREDIT card to buy it on-line. I'm sure your dad has a checking account doesn't he? You can just use the Debit card like it's all good for any on-line purchase. However, that won't really solve your dial-up issue. Perhaps go to a friend's who has broadband and download it from him; put it in a flashdrive or burn it into a CD/DVD and take it home.
I would disagree partially with most opinions about laptops I've read around here. I have an Inspiron 9300 I purchased summer of '05. I have done absolutely no tweaking to it (though this particular model has A LOT of overclocking headroom). I have my laptop hooked up to a 26" monitor and I can play GalCiv2 on max resolution and highest settings with no problems (the monitor's real-estate really shines with GalCiv2). I am not here to be a fan-boy for laptops, of course desktop
So when they say they over-hauled the graphics to 2008 standards, does that mean that TotA is gonna have heavier system requirements? Matter of fact, is there any system requirements for TotA posted anywhere?
