Hey. Sorry, no solutions, but I just wanted to say that I'm having the exact same problem. Bought the Ultimate Edition collection through Impulse/GS a few years ago and recently downloaded them to my new laptop (Win 8 64bit). Both Dread Lords and Dark Avatar crash when I try to start a new game just like described here, but weirdly enough Twilight of the Arnor works just fine. I can even load the Dreadlords and the Dark Avatar campaigns in TotA and they play with no problems. &nbs
