OK - I thought I had posted a response to this, but it must not have submitted (seems not to happen sometimes from work...) If you are still having the issue then 1) The screen you are talking about is the logon screen. You logon with your ICO account and then pick the player you wish to use (you can add up to 5 I believe). 2) You then select the player and click the Use Player button in the bottom right hand corner 3) You should now be in the lobby (Lobby 1)</

IIRC, some files get checked to make sure they are the same, some are just checked to make sure they exist to prevent desync. This allows pp to apply graphic mods and still play MP. You just ran into this issue. Good explanation though.
Their is a general lobby for this. This is the strategy lobby. This post has it's place but that place ain't here.
Hence my complains - why put something stupid in the first place someone will look for some help with the game - I would like to see more players and improved players in the Sins community, maybe even in MP. Telling them all the wrong things to do helps no one save the person getting the lulz for starting this thread...
Ok, people please be truthful, does anyone bother to read the EULA when they are installing any software?! Sure, we sometimes (by sometimes, i mean never) read it, but it always say more or less the same thing over and over again, do not copy this software.
Sometimes....

Ent 1.02 0 subverters don't get used as they blow up before they use their ability/use it more then once... (fighters) Also fighters are useless - flak kill them sooo quickly and they don't come back due to nerf on rebuild rate
i didnt say it wasnt a good tactic, i just said i dont like it, i dont like jumping in my fleet, then waiting while the SB builds... all the while possibly taking heaps of losses... and thats aside from the fact that a decent SC swarm could take out the SB before it levels...
1) Fight out of range of their SB until yours is ready 2) Repair the starbase as it builds - fighters will sweep his bombers and fighters aren't that good against it... Some flak might help
hehe, that too, how the heck can I watch replays? I click on them, but my computer never knows what program to run them on. I tried windows media player (I have windows xp), quicktime, and maybe something else, but nothing.
ROFL The replay files are not video files - they are a log of what happened in the game to allow the Sins engine to re-create the game on your screen for you to watch (think of it as a TV script for all the little Sins actors to follow).

Looking forwards to seeing you online - I strongly suggest you get your toes wet with comp stomps (name the game as such so people know) - it will also help you get better until you feel ready for some human opponents... And download replays from good players and watch them too!!

People also smurf because some people won't play clan members. So to get a game, as said above people smurf. I've seen a game where me and other clan members got booted from the game - so we logged in with normal accounts and were allowed to play. No idea why Hack is better then [_]-Hack... My Hack account has way more games played/won...

Go online as soon as you feel comfortable - there is no right/wrong per se. Just be aware that some people, especially those with [DT] or [_] prefix (i.e. clan members) will wipe you out quickly until you learn about MP. It is faster and things that the AI will fall for, humans won't. Try and find some others who are like you and play with them. Maybe try comp stomping even (human team vs AI team).

The issue with resuming a MP game is getting everyone together again to resume. Even if all the players are online, chances are that they will be in another game. But come and play anyway - it is a step up and take a bit of time to move to the next level, but it is worth it. Winning a game when you only have 1 cap ship and no planets left is not something you can do in SP - your allies won't feed you to get you back into the game. In MP they will (as long as they know you a worth the
