No one any ideas what could be causing this then? I've tried restarting games and it keeps occuring, after a point it does it after the first save, therby rendering the game unplayable as i can never save.
Either the game has a glitch, or something running in the background is causing a conflicting memory error.Doubtful it is hardware related. If it was, you probably would have blue-screened.
I'm at abit of a loss then what could be causing it from the background, I ensured before posted the bug that I tried with all other apps closed. The only things running are my firewall, antivirus/spyware and other basic system processes.

When playing DA 1.8g I can only do so for around 20 turns or so then I get a ding sound and it locks up forcing me to alt+f4 at the only way out. I have the autosave set to every 3 turns, all my drivers and such are updated yet this still happens. Any clues?
