I'm currently playing the campaign and it drive me crazy that this mage Darwella I picked up is always standing right in the middle of the front row because she has a melee staff equipped. This gets her quite often killed in the first round when facing fast moving high initiative monsters. For now I gave her a bow so she get placed behind the melee fighters, but is there no smart unit placement that put mages in the back row? If there is no mod maybe someone can point me how to mod

1€ ≠ $1 The SD store sells the DLC for $4.99, but since I bought the Steam version it directs me to the Steam Store where they want me to pay €4.99 ($6.54) for it. Even it's not that much I goes against my gut when companies do that.
The Ai instantaneously finish the current building when you load a game save? Did I get this correctly? That would be a severe case of "karma is bitch" for a save/reload cheater. ^^
I don't think it's OP if you play Ironman (no saving unless quitting), my preferred mode since Alpha Centauri. How every I'm newbie on this game. So my opinion means probably shit. Then an average ~25% resist chance and 40 mana cost are a strong balance factor at the start of the game. Later in the game when your spell mastery and mana income make casting tame cheap and reliable you have little use for it. That's how I saw it in my current second game. First time I tri
I agree with this issue, but currently the fix is when these screens pop up you can press the alt key to pause the animation (movie) and you can read at your leasure. Another way to fix this, although it requires us to redo the movie files to repeat the last screen for a long period of time until the devs fix the actual problem. By the way alt pauses all movies in the game.
Good to know you can pause movies with the Al
I would hide behind the actress playing Sahara Conner in the TV Terminator the Sarah Connor Chronicles, which also happen to be Queen Cersei Lannister in Games of Thrones. In one case she is a badass with a shotgun, in other case people in front of her tend to involuntarily "catch" knifes with their backs.
This is now the second time today I read someone had let go all hope only to be saved from an impossible situation by auto-resolve. Interesting.
Ironeer women are pretty tough, I would hide behind them too.
Just got an idea of a new picture thread. "Women you would hide behind."
Randomness is the enemy of skill. It's interesting to see than more skilled a player is than more randomness hurts him, and the crappier a player is, the more he benefits from luck. In the first place, a skilled player is less likely to get into situations where he must depend on luck to survive, thus it is more likely randomness will screw him in a situation where would have prevailed otherwise. On the other side a bad player will find himself more often in sticky situati
Exactly, this behavior leads to exposing the weaker members of the group instead to shield them. Especially when the enemy has fast moving high initiative units. To add insult to the injury two of my companions in the group are Ironeer women. He is literally hiding behind women. The shame, oh the shame. I should made him into an assassin instead a defender.
This is what I actually did found myself doing. Turning off the music. As I find myself still learning the game I tend to switch screen a lot. Inspecting every monster I meet, reading the blurbs and learning his abilities. If it weren't for the this loud Altar theme relatively to the map theme music I could live with the constant music change when switching screens. Although I find this feature rather annoying and I think there not many games out there that have an individual musi
I playing the Altar's faction. My sovereign Lord Relias is leading a band of merry men, but despite being the first unit in the army, having the highest health points, the highest defense and being in overall the strongest unit in the group, he is always found at the flank or sometimes the rear. He should take point in the middle leading the charge. I find it strange he is acting like a wuss. He is really embarrassing me over here.
First I want to say what a great game, and I am happy to see an other worthy successor of Master of Magic besides Warlock Master of the Arcane. I will certainly spent a few hundred hours in the world of Elemental. I just started to got into the game and so I regularly inspect with great interest the detail page of every new object or monster I encounter. Unfortunately everytime the detail page comes up it not only change the background music it also seems to play twice as loud. Is the

I think Strikecraft are at perfect balance right now. What need balanced are the Carriers and the cost to replace lost strikecrafts. For carriers their HP and Shields can stay the same but they should be slower so ships have easier time to catch them. Or the game should provide an ability for each faction to slow them down. It should not be higher than tech lvl 2 if it has to be researched. Additionally the antimatter cost for replacing lost strikecraft should be ri

$=€ is because the US economy is shattered and we European have now to pull them out of their own dug dung hole.
Navy Carrier, no matter if on sea or in space are the modern capital ships. Because they offer superior range, flexibility and effectiveness. Every other ship even battleships are just there to support them. Not more, not less. So it is Strikecraft versus everything, ...even against other carriers. Is this an improvement for Sins? I can't decide, but I think so.
Hmm, at least for me Achievement works. I deleted my old achievement file, and so far I did over the halve of them again under 2.5.
Yeah, "losing" is the best part when playing with gals. [e digicons];P[/e]
At least for Entrenchment I can confirm that the Pirate Baron Achievement works. Did it my self yesterday.
While going trough my Achievements I noticed I haven't done TEC Military Researcher and Vasari Warfare Researcher Achievements. Now since Entrenchment we have the new Defense Tech Tree partially filled with tech from Military Tree. Are they now excluded from the Achievement? Because you have to do Civilian research to get all of them and thus potentially preventing you from getting the achievement. Does anyone have tested that if it still works? Don't want was
On the map Gateway I had a lot fun with Kosatru Cannons, using the temp Phase Nodes to raid several rear planets at the same time while my main fleet tackles the enemy main. Interesting to note, contrary to the description, it CAN target planets on other star systems.
A Battlestar Galactica addon/game would be nice but it should thematize the first Cylon War and not get involved with the Series storyline. This should give the game designers more freedom and thus improving the game instead of forcing them self into an inflexible corset. But if they pick up any franchises they should always pick the one they are fond themselves, to create a game they like to play them self instead a game that other could maybe like.
