Help with minor mods using forge tools in Sins Modding Sins Forums

I was able to use reference data from the old forge tools to change the ship level and some other minor things by pasting the entity files directly into the game folder but when I try to use the mods by putting it in the mod folder as soon as I activate it the game freezes. How can I get the mods to work by using the mod folder? Any help would be appreciated.
