You did add the modules to it, right? As far as I know, the starbase itself doesnt generate any bonuses, you get them from the modules you install on it. (you will have to research the more advanced modules)
if you had to pick one functional aspect of the game that you wanted to see emulated in the new Stardock project, what would it be?
I particularly liked being a big mage that can cast map affecting spells, army summoning etc. You know, being a powerful entity that is not completely tied to the city/production infrastructure. (though that is, of course, where most of you magical power comes from) Effectively: being a mage who has races/cities/etc. working f
I steer clear of malware on my computer, but now I've discovered that even EA cannot be trusted.
Emphasis mine. Argh where's the edit button when you need it! Anyways: even EA? Hello? EA has always been at the forefront of draconian (and counterproductive) initiatives to benefit the company at the expense of the customer.
Eh, how can you not expect EA to use Securom? As far as I know they've been using versions of Securom for a very long time. It's just because the current version is more malignant than most, that it stirs up some controversy. Quite frankly, I'm surprised that we haven't yet heard announcements of impending deals between EA and Starforce. Seems to me that that piece of rootkit-malware is right up their alley.
Unfortunately I'm more of a fantasy gamer.. Any plans for Stardock to do something more Strategy/RPG/Resourcish ala Heroes of Might and Magic? Or would anyone on here have any recommendations?? I'm trying to swear off Steam, and I'm hoping Impusle will have what I need..
Stardock has stated that a fantasy turn-based strategy game "not-MoM" (working title :-p ) is next on their to-do list. I think pre-production has started. (we've seen some concept art pictures) <br/
The only way this pointless, useless and utterly irritating DRM saga will ever cease is not to buy DRM products. That will, finally, penetrate to the respective Games House Board Room that all is not well out there, and despite the briefings given to the contrary by Bonus motivated Staff, they are losing a shed full of cash and market share.
Or they could just interpret it as follows: Sales are down, so people must be pirating it instead of buying it. We need
i want this game so bad :[
I'm sure someone from Stardock will be happy to hook you up for a reasonable fee. :-p
Well, they do have approval buildings so the combination of powerful unique buildings & a few empty tiles to be filled with approval buildings and a political capital is quite ok.I did tend to run into financial trouble later on though once I had more of the Thalan research & production buildings (they have considerably higher maintenance costs per MP / TP than the normal factories and labs)I have actually been purchasing Research buildings from other tech races. I find that the exchange
I can only agree with maudlin27.The Irony is, if people do not buy some game because of the copy protection and it gets poor sales, the publishers will blame piracy for it and make the protection even more intrusive. Maybe they will learn someday.
Publishers like that will either learn or go bankrupt, either outcome will satisfy me. :-p
