We don't need Moo4, we have GalCiv2. Now MoM thats another story. Nothing has come close in the million or so years since it was released. I have to disagree...the whole travel system is different in GC and MOO. It implies completly different strategies and so both games are very different from one another. I want MOO4 too.

Exactly. Forget MoO. Thirded. GalCiv2's a better game in every way than any iteration of MoO ever was, sorry people. It'd be a tragic misallocation of resources for SD to pursue a MoO revival when simply advancing GalCiv would invariably produce a better game. I am with Brad here...both games are very different and you can't compare them like that (Why would he like to work on it if they were so similar?

Kerberos (see the spelling ) are slightly paranoid. If you've been on their forums at the beginning you'd know what i mean. What's worse, i couldn't mention Sins of a solar empire on their forums...that subject was forbidden! (both teams used to work together before). Now that Stardock is publishing SoaE, They'll even see more conspiracies... Now...maybe i'll be banned from their forums but i don

Hmmm, i wonder if the project was getting off track and stardock was called in to get things back on schedule? No...they just hadn't a publisher yet...and that's were Stardock comes into the game it seems

I've been on their forums since last december and the game seems to be already very solid. There's a trailer somewhere. It shouldn't be long until we can play this jewel... PS: Great Job Stardock for taking them under your wings...i am sure you've got a winner there.

Please tell me you were being sarcastic, and that I just wasn't able to detect that.... Hi Martok Of course it's birth of the federation which is the best game of all time... Now, i seriously enjoy MOO3 a lot but it's clearly on

And SOTS is no MOO3 by a long shot - there is a game in SOTS - there isn't much of one in MOO3. MOO3 is the best game of all time (along with GC and SE IV) ...if you have an IQ of 120 at least, that is... <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/sm

Well i don't agree as it higly depends on the distribution/publicity of the game. MOO3 sold a lot copies as it was very well advertised....GalCiv managed to sell many as well but it was also thanks to various aspects (advertisement in the MOO3 box, good reviews, hearsay) and the game was finally not badly distributed in the world...but it took much longer. It would have sold a lot more if it had received the support MOO3 had. SEIV on the other hand was only sold on internet, thus limiting it t

it did happen to me too for more than 3 years not so long ago. As regular posters on forums we tend to forget that not everybody has the physical (depend on where you live) or financial means to be uptodate with their computers. For instance i have a laptap that runs fine and has got a good connexion but i won't be able to play Rome: Total War for at least 2-3 more years as i can't afford a new computer with a stronger video card....

Well...GalCiv I's AI strategy really isn't that bad. I've got a huge border war going on in the 8th scenario (the Torians take my planet, i get it back and so on)...it's a lot of fun and it reminds me of the Dominion Wars in Deep space nine...if i only had more Paladins

CIV III is indeed very addictive but i get mad every time i play it due to the highly cheating AI and the micromanagment nightmare it becomes when you progress....it's a love-hate relationship for me. I just wish someone else would make that type of game too... As i did with CIVIII, i'll wait at least a year before i buy CIV IV.

Just wondering as there are spheres of influence and that each planet can be colonised. Is there a non-trespassing treaty or statement? One that would allow me to secure nearby planets as other empires wouldn't be able to enter my territory without declaring war... I am also curious to know if there are other new diplomatic options since GC1? Also...do we get a message when an enemy ship enters our territory? Thanks

This is one of the main reasons i love GalCiv. 4x games are so time consuming that i just don't see the point of MP. Normal guys (like me ) don't have so much time. If the AI isn't good, then there's no fun. GalCiv is one of the best franchise of Space strategy games (the others being the MOOs and the Space Empires) and has a great story on it's own. So i don't want a MOO 2.5 or the like. However, i'd wish some great features. One of the ma

The initial land grab has been a major part of every 4x strategy game I've ever played, and I've never seen anyone come up with a variation that made the initial land grab less than essential while retaining the 4x elements of the game. Actually, i believe that the team who is working on Horizon: humans in space are going into an in

Draginol has done this in the past too....he likes to put know names....these are just placeholders for fun. Won't be in the final version.

Good luck...i've been following your progress since 2002 and have played GalCiv since release. Unfortunatly, i don't have time/patience to do such a long beta testing (furthemore i am already testing Legion Arena) so i'll keep wathing. I find the reaction of some testers funny...the actual build is so early, that it's normal to have a lot of crashes...seems as they expected a finished product. Anyway keep

Now that we know that planets will be devised onto tiles i get curious about ground combat. 1. Will we transport population like in GalCiv1 or will we create ground troops (or maybe they are generated automatically on each planet depending on a defensive / offensive policy ) ? 2. Will we be able to fight over various tiles? if yes, maybe the invader takes control of, say, the food farms, reducing the amount produced by the defenders while increasing
