My 2c on the weapons issue. The existence of a significant difference in the "bang for the buck" between weapon systems is not necessarily a bad thing, unless the difference are so great that there is no point at all in building them. What would that point be? When building the more efficient systems create more damage even against the best defense than the less efficient system does against no defensive structure. Then one would never build the weaker weapon system

A very minor cosmetic bug. In the abilities screen, when selecting "speed", if you click speed +1, the display on the left shows speed +11, not +20. It shows correctly as speed +20 on the right. (or it should the other way round, speed+1 and speed+2, but they should agree) ---> a link to screenshot:

I figured out -- doh --- that for some reason the settings for anomalies and extreme planets were "abundant". Don't know why they would have changed. So that answers that. My fault, I just whipped through only checking the planet frequencies because that is all I have changed. After deleting prefs.ini and removing the save files, rebooting and restarting, setting the frequencies properly the anomalies and exctremes are ok. However, the economy is

I just replaced the exe file. If there was something else I needed to do, I didn't! LoL. I started a small game, 3 opponents, normal difficulty, occ/com/com for planets, as Altarians. 1. My economy was ridiculously good. 26% tax, 100% spending, +77 net income all due to very high tourism. (Numbers after about 10 turns). 2. The density of anomalies is such that my survey ship is hitting 2 or 3 on every turn. 3. I fou

This worked for me: (Username is your account name on your computer) 1. Unzip into C:\Users\Username\Documents\My Games\GC2TwilightArnor\mods (create mods directory if it isn't there) So that now you see: C:\Users\Username\Documents\My Games\GC2TwilightArnor\mods\Community Update 2. Then edit prefs.ini in C:\Users\Username\Documents\My Games\GC2TwilightArnor so that you have

OK, just to check. When you post an update to the CU, I suppose I go to my mods file in my games and delete the current community update directory, then unzip the new CU in the same place. Additionally, delete any race config files that are present in the My Games area. Delete or simply don't use any save games from the previous update. Check?

Apparently a very similar thing happened to me. It took me a while to realize that the debug.err file, and the race config files, are in My Documents, which makes sense of course once I figured it out--- brute force searching worked for me. It had crashed originally as I was creating an Altarian character...I found that after cleaning the race config file I needed to restart with a different race, th
