Thanks, that helped. That module seems kind of pointless when you can build weapon modules with 30 attack each. But now I know it has another use :)

I have researched "Starbase Fortification I" and "Starbase Fortification II" yes. And I can't build any starbase defense modules. Only the defense support ones which I have also researched.

Im currently on the Campaign of TotA where you get the last shard. I've researched "Starbase Fortification Mark III" I can build the +30 mass/missile/laser module on my starbases which I gained from the research, but the tech also lists defensive modules Ray Shielding III, Combat Armor III and Missile Defender III. These doesn't show up at all when attempting to upgrade my starbases. Why is that? Can't humans build those or something?
