Excellent report! I genuinely found it interesting. Here are my comments: While I agree with the report's assessment regarding piracy, reports like this one can only fuel company decision-makers' confirmation biases (assuming they actually have such biases). Frankly, I'm surprised more companies haven't subscr
http://gorstagg.wordpress.com/ Is my site where I've been putting up new videos since beta 2. And even have 2 more new videos up tonight.
Thanks for the link to your blog, Gorstagg! I love your work, and I especially love your narration voice! I'm working on downloading them so I can modify my video with them. Rest assured that I will give you full credit for the videos. Also, [e digicons]k2[/e] for your videos and voiceover wor
Hey everyone! Seeing as Elemental: War of Magic is close to being released (unless Stardock, for whatever reason, needs to push the release date forwards), I've decided to work on a more proper version of my fan-made teaser trailer . It's got a limited amount of video, and it has a number of more recent screenshots from Elemental. However, even though I've scoured the Internet for good images and videos demonstrating gam
...OK, because I can't seem to edit my post (and because I don't know how to embed a YouTube video on a forum), here the actual link to my teaser trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eu-D47gtyfc EDIT: Disregard this reply. I think I've gotten so worked up that I forgot that edits take time to take effect!
Because I thought that Stardock hadn't made a teaser trailer for Elemental yet, I decided to create my own. I spent about 2 days making it, and I had a friend post it on YouTube because I like my privacy. The funny part is that when I went to view my work on YouTube, I noticed in the "Related Videos" section that Stardock had made a teaser! Oops... [e digicons][/e] Well, here's the link my version of the Elemental Teaser Trailer it is in al
Don't forget Kingdom Hearts! It has the most surreal yet awesome intro I've ever seen in a video game. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m30efJe84t8
Certainly. But why now? What would they care about Impulse::Reactor? It's not even available to the public. It's not even for end users.
To be honest, I think it's either because it's stirring up quite a commotion in the press, thus resulting in a bunch of Steam fanboys trying to promote their favorite client by smearing Impulse and everything else, or, in the worst-case scenario, Valve is recognizing that Impulse::Reactor is a product t
I would recommend for a VOIP client something called imVOX . It's a powerful, compact, Amazon AWS cloud-server-based VOIP client that, based on my own experience as well as those of my friends, works like it claims. How do I know? Both my friends effectively have dial-up connections, yet their voice quality is just as good, if not better than Skype! Not only that, they remain connected until they decide to leave the voice server or their compute
Unfortunately, due to the fact that I was unaware that the Elemental and main Stardock forums were intertwined to a degree, I accidentally duplicated my idea. Could you please update the link to my idea, Raven X? The proper link is: https://forums.elementalgame.com/376363
OK, I know this is going to be a shocker, but I have decided that because Cerevox's argument on huge armies has proven rather uncounterable, and because I can't come up with a counter-argument, my idea needs serious reconstruction. I've thought it over, and here is my new idea on how to let people explore towns, castles, and other locales: When you enter a town, castle, or other populated area, you're shown a window that shows a picture that gives you the area's si
You already made a thread on this here https://forums.elementalgame.com/376363 It might be best to just leave it there or let a mod move the thread to this section. Splitting the responses to the idea will confuse folks.
I agree completely, Cerevox. Unfortunately, I made the original post (not this duplicate) using the Impulse client, which uses the main Stardock forums that doesn't have the
Perhaps you could add my idea to the comprehensive idea list, Raven X? If you could, I'd really appreciate it! I'd like it to be called the same as in the original post (Idea for Explorable, Close-Up Areas), and I think it should go under Gameplay. Here's the link: https://forums.elementalgame.com/37653
After reading one of Frogboy's Elemental journals (I forget which one), I began pondering how you could explore the viliges, cities, and certain other locations in the Elemental world. The solution I came up is to have a party comprised of a small number of skilled characters (somewhere in the neigborhood of 1-6) would explore a isometric version of the place in question. You'd be able to walk around, converse with people, take
Quoting Cerevox, reply 1 This idea has gotten a few mentions before but hasn't really gotten any traction. While it is a great idea, and would be fun, it really does narrow down your focus. Why run around with a couple folks, when you have 10,000 soldiers waiting outside the village and an empire with over a billion citizens waiting on your every command? Small scale is nice, but it doesn't really feel right.
EDIT: I have radically modified the below idea. Please see Reply #19 for my modified idea. After reading one of Frogboy's Elemental journals (I forget which one), I began pondering how you could explore the viliges, cities, and certain other locations in the Elemental world. The solution I came up is to have a party comprised of a small number of skilled characters (somewhere in the neigborhood of 1-
While I must say that ImpulseTV is indeed awesome , I would like to see both the good and the bad of a game highlighted. That way, people don't buy a game and realize, "Oh, great ! I just wasted money on a game/app that's too x for my liking." (Replace x with the adjective of your choice, such as unfinished, short, or difficult.) Because, to be honest, I felt that the game reviews really tried to make each game look as fun as possible, albeit
Does anyone know whether or not Moonpod will be releasing the Mr. Robot editor for the TotalGaming.net version?
