Hmm i only mention this as tweak because im assuming Stardock forgot to include a new picture for the starport, looks horrible compared to the newer versions of other buildings and its on almost every planet. Can we have a nice pretty new one since its probably the most widely used building in the entire game.

Cheers Logic, no doubt this will be a must have, same as the last one. I have competent computer so i want all of the bells and whistles i can tag on. One request. What about the asteroid textures, ever thought of having a go at those?
SpacePony: - I get the point, honestly i do, the main problem here is that often nuclear power and nuclear weapons go hand in hand, although the uk was told that its nuclear power program was for electricity production, it was realy a pretext so that we could produce lots of fissionable material (threat of the cold war). So its very hard to distinguish the two We (the UK) currently have 100 tons !! of weapons grade plutonium stockpiled, to put that into context, 6Kg of plutonium wer
Strange, it doesn't offend me.
Mabye so but it offends me and others, you'll notice a distinct lack of it in the forums here compared to other places, of course we all swear but it was getting so often in your earlier posts i kept noticing it again and again, so, please turn it down uranium 235
thanks for the how to Hazmask. i beleive the gold edition extras are downloadable once you have the ultimate edition, thats version i bought and i know for sure i have the few extra components you only get with the gold edition
SpacePony : Im sorry but your mistaken the None proliferation treaty (NPT) was set up to stop the spread of nuclear weapons, not nuclear power It is perfectly permissible for the signatories of the treaty to peruse nuclear power generation as we do in the west under Article IV of the NPT.
Okay im a soon to be graduate in Environmental Geoscience so without meaning to sound patronizing, condescending or like a know it all, please believe that i speak from education and not hearsay. bigpopa8 - Its much, much more complicated than that, OIL is not everlasting, all of the fields in the North sea are at or past peak production now, that means reducing yield until its empty, of course every field will reach this stage eventually, it will run out. Projections are many and varied
Two posts to make here because they are separate issues, firstly on a comment about iran "only Iran which is the biggest suppl of oil can have a lame excuse 4 a nuclear power programm like "we need more energy" ROFL..." - Why should they have to justify having a nuclear power program to the US AT ALL? the US didnt ask anyone if it was okay to develop a bomb, AND THEN USE IT, nuclear power was an afterthought. Its the same damn thing, why do the US think it has the moral justif
Awesome that this will be addressed, im sure you have a pretty good idea already of what its going to be like but in my humble opinion I think that what it needs is more flexibility, options to do different things to your opponent, for example -Sabotage ship production, reset production progress -Steal tech (randomly) -Destroy buildings (obviously this would either have to be impossible or require a lot of additional funds for "wonder" building types) -Incite r
Personally i think since the disappearance of the big PC boxes a few years ago, the ones with full manuals plus maybe a poster/tech tree print out there has been no reason to buy a hard copy at all, actually with the growth of internet speeds and the massively increased pubic awareness of internet shopping (i read it grew 55% in 2008 compared to 2007 in fist quarter in the UK) i believe that the market will shift heavily towards most people downloading new games from the developers directly.
HazMask "If I recall, the Twilight expansion will improve the graphics even more right?" Check out the this comparison, plus features list: https://forums.galciv2.com/309155 A resounding hell yes to that statement, they are much better and also use 1/8 of the memory meaning you can have masses more ships onscreen at the same fps, not that you need a particularly high fps to play a 4X game but scrolling at zooms below below icon mode could get stuttery in avatar with lots of cus
Man i seriously LOVE SMAC, i also agree that the new civs didnt make much of an impact being as they were mostly derivative of the original 7, never noticed that colony pod breaking up, cool backstory there. Until GC2 came out, in my opinion no other strategy came close, even civ4 paled in comparison in terms of gameplay, even though it had loads more features. For me, theres not much reason to go back to SMAC, especially because the graphics have aged seriously now, especially
Uranium 238 - PLEASE STOP SWEARING !!!! Its offensive
Im still getting invisible ships :(, definitely using the newest version but i am using mods, ill disable them and start a new game see if it happens then also.
Kyronea.. Youve promted me to admit my own mistakes, i went through almost word for word the same process as you, i went out and paid my due about 6 months ago, definitely worth it. Well nuff said i think. Sorry and thanks to you Stardock Alex
Can you give us details about how exactly you died?Oh, and I'm curious about Wyndstar's Thalan concerns as well.
Dude, the guys probably way too busy to give you what your looking for, just trust that those extra minutes he'd spend writing up the game will be spent on making it better for you and me.
Barnsalot, yo man, me too, five weeks till i graduate and half way through my finals, trying to abstain from Twilight for as long as possible (had a small relapse yesterday :D). No reason to stay away from the website though :D...
Thank you, long life and good health to all at Stardock
Im using 0.98c[b].001, downloaded it about a week ago (ish) and started the game yesterday. (thats the newest version according to stardock central) So im pretty sure it is the new one, but i also believe you when you say its fixed so i mussed have made an error somewhere, i will start a new game to be sure and let you know, ive sent in the savegame and the debugger file already, i guess you will be able to tell what version i was using on that save its the most recent game ive started.
Thanks for the original poster for bringing this up. I want to make a few points. To the person who posted this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZFG5PKw504&eurl Disproves evolution. End of story, lock the thread. Unless this was a joke this is completely retarded, i mean comparing the theory of the beginnings of life a jar of peanut butter ???, i know you didnt make the video so thats why im so vocal about it. Also just because you dont spontaneously g
I think some people seriously need to re-think their priorities if they are upset about pushing the launch back a week. I think most people would agree that the currently downloadable BETA is release-quality by most standards. So anyone who is that impatient can play the game right now. Personally, I just wanted to have extra time to polish the computer AI further, make sure all the new stuff (cut scenes, music, etc.) were fitted in just right. We could definitely have relea
swh. Yeah, all of the civs love me because of my military and diplomatic strength which i researched highly to pick up all the civ specific bonuses early. I think a research victory would be pretty simple if boring. And militarily its just a question of waiting for my population to recover before i invade more worlds. Personally my favorite games are the ones where my planets are the ones being invaded and its a real slog to slowly bring my worlds back under my control and
okay ill keep it brief To play against: Altarians, useless in games ive played, always lesser civ or bottom Humans, pretty good the longer there around the better they get until they get be in top 2 or 3 Drath, pretty poor never worthy of attention Archean, same as drath Korath, usually toughest player, research powerful weapons very quickly spread fast Krynn, nearly always do well, although ive now played two games where they've bu
Im just playing from an amazing start Homeworld - precursor factory 700%, 300% research, all asteroids arranged around planet so max yield. next colonised world PQ 12 had 2X 100% research tiles fourth colonised world PQ 7 had precursor library and 100% research tile oh and i also had two military bonuses, an influence and a moral resource nearby which i took without rushing due to my huge manufacturing ability. Its a large sized map with occasional planets and
"bye it at a store" thats borderline dyslexic isn't it ?
