Missing Serial Number in Bug Reports Stardock Forums

Hi, I purchased a brand new copy of "Galactic Civilizations II Dread Lords Game of the Year Edition" from a best buy in Canada. I can not find a serial number anywhere. I am experiencing some bugs: cracky sound and freezing during zooming out of the galaxy view. I noticed another member had a similar or the exact same problem. What steps do I need to take to obtain a serial number, I would really like to update the game. Thanks, Stephen
