If more players used one race than another it would result in higher score for that race. That does not necessarily mean this race is better - it just means it is more popular. Maybe on

Thank you for your answers, especially yours, CraigHB goes a bit farther than my question but it summarizes all i wanted to know =)
If you don`t make it into politics you at least can tell your prospective employer that you have enormous leadership abilities - you once were a great Patriarch of a huge interstellar Empire called "Kzinti Empire". That does extremely well on a job application i think ;D
What are your suggestion for the bonus points and initial research? Concentrate on military and push Research points to get a quick technological boost over other civs? I intuitively would give diplomacy a lesser priority. Which other bonuses would you suggest? Maybe you can give me a sample of point distribution appropriate to the Korath.
Korath seem quite rare in the Metaverse rankings. Does this have a reason? I like the thought of being an evil race, destroying other civs with toxic spore ships but dont know, if the Korath can keep up.
I dont know if it is an unique problem to me, but if i try to view someone others Metaverse profile by clicking on the nickname-->view profile--> metaverse profile, i always get redirected to my own metaverse profile, not to theirs.
I do not live with my parents but visit them quite often. I thought about the possibility to continue my metaverse games on their computer while staying there. Is it possible and legal to install the game on 2 different computers with the same serial or may this lead to a possible banning of my account?
Maybe Crysis sales were limited because the players able to play it are limited. Ever took a look at the requirements?
Of course i go for conquest victory, i just keep them off me by diplomacy ;)
Thanks FB! I will of course congratulate the ToE should you start climbing in the standings. Hi di55ec7ion, your score for a first game defnitely caught my attention. Few people start out submitting a game over 40k...I certainly didnt. We're glad to have you in the empire, and good to hear that you've got another game coming in soon. Sentient species taste better...
Thanks, i am glad to hear that. =) My next game will be a gigantic map too,a bit less planets, difficul
Hey, congrats to place 1. Still dont know where to put my participation in the empire - i got an invitation right after my first metaverse game at all and yet got an invitation. Is it because you just invite almost everyone or because my game looked good? I wont let you down, my second game is almost done. ;)
Do the empires have a limit in number of members? I suggest that might be a good thing because my empire reached place 1. I have played only one game yet and that seems enough to be one of the better players in my empire. It seems the rank of the empire is a matter of sheer quantity rather than quality. Maybe a restriction of maximum players will give a boost to the motivation to be in a top ranked empire.
This is an issue which annoys me personally and I fear I may have detracted from your original intent - congratulating Stardock on a great product. It is the "me" attitude which is sadly growing in society that I detest - "the rules (and even laws) are inconvenient to 'me' so I will choose to ignore them".
I do not want to discuss the topic piracy. Piracy is illegal by law and i pointed out, why it os socially incorrect. I fully can understand your
I do not want to glorify piracy. It is a crime by the law of most countries and it is correct that it is. The products digital form does of course not legitimate stealing it. I want to point at the fact that a game can be very succesful besides piracy - if the quality is right. Delievering quality rather than complicated copyprotections might be a better solution to the problem of piracy. Before I decide to buy a product i want to assure its worth the money. So I normally go into the next vi
If you want higher metaverse scores, it can be a good idea to turn influence victories off. This is because scores reward military victories, and you are likely to accidentally win by influence before you have wiped out the last few pockets of resistance to your cause. This can be avoided by constantly staying at war, but watch out... if for instance your dominating influence lasted for 7 of the 10 turns, then you went to war, then won and there is another civ out t
I have to make a little confession to Stardock. First i have had a pirated version of GalCiv Gold downloaded on some site on the internet. I realized there is no copy-protection or need for an CD for playing the game. The game turned out to be one of the most long-term motivating games i have and i really do appreciate such great work. So I decided to buy it besides having a fully functional version of it on my Harddrive. With this I want to encourage you to continue this pat
New to the Metaverse, I have one question: Is the game scoring system dependent on the difficulty setting? Top players seem to use harder difficulties - can i theoretically advance to higher rankings by playing easier games? Or is it necessity and not just decoration of the profile?
Hello, I plan to buy the whole package DL, DA and TA. I could preorder CD-version of TA for 25$ and buy GalCiv Gold CD-version for 45$. The Ultimate Bundle is available as digital download only for 60$. When TA is finally released in january, will there be an option to order GalCiv Gold + TA for the same price as the digital download of the Ultimate Bundle now? (Call me materialistic but I like paper and plastic rather than a lot of zeros and ones ;) )
