I've been reading the Saga of Seven Suns by Kevin J Anderson and there are great prossiblities for GalCiv in there. First and foremost two new aliens, one that lives in suns and second one that lives in Gas Giants. You can imagine the new weapons and shields that will be required to deal with either one. Last I played was World of Warcraft. It was a lot of fun but for some reason I just could't stay hooked. I also tried Ryzom which wasn't too bad. Maybe you should get into EQ again. :)

Hey Cari I've had to live with worse error's in some of my favorite other games and this doesn't occur very often, so it's no biggy in my book. Thanks for all the great work you guys are doing. I'm so hooked that I haven't played Mass Effect for two weeks. :D Have a great christmas all. :)

The best thing I have found is focusing planets buldings. I have 2-3 early on that just create buildings to improve planetary output. Look for planets that already have a string output over spending without anything already.

I just thought I'd give my 2 cents worth of what is causing this error. It looks like the game uses all the available physical RAM, once the autosave kicks in there is not enough RAM to do the serialization of the physical objects. ie: I have 2Gig, task manager showed that GalCiv2 was using 1100Mb when I finally got to the desktop. This cleared up to +-600Mb after watching it for a while, then I continued playing the game. Maybe if before autosaving a test can run to deter

I'm running Vista Business with 2 Gig's RAM. I got the Out of Memory error. I clicked Ok to close the dialogue and watched in task manager watches the usage of the game go down to 500Mb, then re-entered and manually saved.

Typical, humans always think there are better ways to do things and look at the state of the world today. Develope something new to wow the world and yet nature has already done it somewhere else. Ooh what's this here. Although it might be better to give the atmosphere a break from carbon emissions for a while and have vehicles poison the world in some other way. That way we know we can fall back to carbon emissions later ;)

Okay played that game till the end and start a second one and got quite far. Doesn't seem to be happening again.

Played it this weekend passed. Thought I should give Mass Effect a break. I don't have the expansions but I'm sure they would make the game better. Still worth playing even now. I prefer the whole space thing though of GalCiv and I'm really liking the ship design element. You don't have such flexibility in Civ. Try the demo if there is one. I haven't heard of any new Civ game except the one for Xbox.

Hi All Firstly I have the Gold edition which arrived yesterday. I installed the lastest patches for the original and expansion. Last night after being quite far into the game my planets indicated that my ships will never be built. At first I though that the sliders might have changed, but the bottom left showed that I had 5000 positive balance and it was green. Upon reloading the game this morning though It was orange and in the negative. So for some reason the variable is not
