Is it possible to convert black and white jpg files into raw files?

Is it likely in future expansions/versions that it will be changed to allow more textures to be used because it is the one thing visually for me that lets the game down. Repetive planets.

I have around 40 textures in my planet folder and i want to use them in random systems but the game is only recognising the default 10. How can i make it recognise the rest. Thanks.

For some reason when generating planets the game is only using the same textures again and again. C00-C09. None of the others are being used apart from ring textures. What file has the planet information and what could the problem be? Thanks in advance.

When i first got the game i messed around and created a few custom races. I now want to remove them from the game but cant find out how to. Can anyone help?

It seems yellow, orange and red stars are showing up fine but not the others.

Ive started to find that recently some of the systems i explore have no star with them. There doesnt even appear to be the black colourless shape that there is when something is missing its texture. If i click around i can locate where it should be and the name is displayed but thats it, no visual. I haven't encountered this problem before until i installed the latest Dark Avatar beta. Is this a known bug?

Hi, thanks for the replies. Yeah i had changed Alora and Ra'nagoh and added the missing . Would i be right in thinking that if all the planets show up fine until the Dominion of Korx system then the error must be in the Korx system? I opened up the xml in internet explorer and it said The XML page cannot be displayed Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later. <

The system planets are visable but its not the ones that ive entered into the customplanets.xml. The first 6 systems i altered have all been fine but none of the last 6 have worked. ARggggh i'll go back and check for typo's. Any other advice? Thanks lads.

I changed the planets that appear in races starting systems. The first 6 races i changed went fine but when i checked the last 6 they hadnt changed at all. Instead of the planets id added they had a set of 5 default planets. I've checked the CustomPlanets.xml and i cant see where ive gone wrong. Can anyone help? Do any of you change the set music to something of your own taste? Im not talking about pop music or anything i mean something space themed, maybe music from a sci fi movie or atmospheric music you just randomly came across?

Just a small bug i was hoping someone knows the solution to. When i load up a new game using the High Resolution mod for some reason Saturn doesnt have its rings just a black ring outline around it instead. The game works fine without the mod being used so its something to do with the mod, i just wondered if this was a problem anyone has encountered before?
