i would agree with you, i have never seen it fail even against very powerful opponents like the mega dude in the last battle of quest of mastery.
when in tactical combat, if you hover the cursor over the status bar on the top where the shards are displayed, it says "String Missing" in the popup box
sometimes it takes FOR EEEEEEEEEEEVER to get past the dragon screen. if you have 2 computers, you can pass the time by playing something on the other one.

if you continue an old saved game from 1.07 or earlier with the newer patches installed, the spells, archers, and catapults miss every time in tactical combat. when you start a NEW game it will work again. ( i'm not convinced the damage calculations work but, whatever
the game is great with the 1.07 patch, finished my first game yesterday and it seems to run much smoother on my archaic system as well.
Does the espionage skill ( race modifier, etc... ) have any bearing on how likely your spies will be detected? Just wondering what the result of a race with MASSIVE espionage skill and a huge spy expenditure could pull off.

Hi I'm trying to update my Sins installation with Impulse and when the download finishes it says: "File downloaded is larger than expected" Also, does anyone have any tips about getting a LAN game to work without desyncs and minidumps? I have yet to complete a multiplayer game without one of the two happening. I have tried the game on 3 different computers in different combinations with the same results each time. I realize the troubleshooting for this problem
