I want a Medieval II: Total War kind of diplomacy. That diplomacy system works so well, has everything you need and it's easy to figure out.

Server resets? Oh great, one of THOSE games. Yeah, we had resets on an Ultima Online shard awhile back, and let me tell you it gets irritating and NOBODY takes the game seriously. I remember reading on the FAQ that it was supposed to be in Beta in 2006 and be availible this year. I don't mean to call it vaporware, but over-enthusiasm tends to lead to premature release and poor performance. However, Society looks like the first MMORTS that won't, you know, suck. Why not have armies led by family members? You know, like they used to do in the middle ages? Wasn't uncommon for a duke, earl, prince, king, whatever to lead troops.
The Rock-Paper-Scissors triangle is dumb as it is unrealistic. A spear should be at the technical advantage to a sword, it being a longer weapon and easier to use. Don't hand me any of this "HURR I CUT UR SPEAR IN HALF" crap, because a sword usually isn't that sharp after smacking into metal armor and cleaving through clothing, bone and flesh for so long.
