I had this happen twice now. Once I was able to bring the game back up with a save game and then finish. The other game I couldn't. What sucks is you spend hours in a game and this happens. However...I may know how to recreate the problem and I will try to break it again when the same thing happens... I had no war ships built and someone figured they should attack me.
