Reproduced it and sent them my diag/log, hope it will help fix the problem... and maybe fix the sound crackling issue along with it, I've got a hunch those are related. I really don't feel like playing with /nosound and since favor only comes from random matches now where I have to play the large maps...
All drivers are up to date. You can see your simspeed on the scoreboard. Low simspeed will slow the game down and in multiplayer games it plays at the speed of the player with the lowest simspeed.
My system specs are: Athlon 64 X2 4200+ (2.4GHZ dual core), 2GB RAM, 8800GT 512MB I turned off AA. Texture & level of detail settings seem to have a huge impact on visual quality but very little impact on fps. On the brothers map my simspeed drops to 1-0 quite quickly, scrollspeed slows down a lot and it becomes really hard to play effectively. Realtek HD audio here and the same problem, never had this in any other game (didn't play SC or SS). I also sometimes get sound stuttering when I select which demigod to use. Disabled reverb long ago, issue improved but it still happens and looks like is connected with high cpu load for me (happens late game with lots of creeps on the map and more often on large maps). Drivers are up to date.
I've played 6 custom games online now and of those only one finished without AI substitutes. I'm sure it is not my connection because 1 or 2 drop at the same time and I'm still in the game with the majority real players until late game when it's impossible to tell because only 1-2 other people are left. I can't say everyone was kicked, some could have just left but sometimes there are 2 dropped at exactly the same time and in 2 games someone already got kicked right at the start before the ma
+1 for Ooze is awesome. Not only does it do 140 pbaoe dps, it reduces enemy attack speed by 40%. This is especially powerful in close games that last a long time (destroy citadel) when people run around with powerful artefacts and ridiculous regular dps.
