Pffffft, I had that 4 years ago grandpa. Oh wait. That's yoru network speed? Shit, thought you meant ram...

I'd love to see more strategies. Insurgencies, combat, ect. Right now combat is fairly bland - Ship sizes and engines should matter more beyond hitpoints. The smaller the hull, the harder it should be to hit it. Ships should be able to go on suicide runs - while expensive, it could be a great insurgency tool. More vision modifiers - gas neublas that screw scanners and can a break down ships, asteroid fields that tear apart big-class ships and so on. As said before, insurgencies.
Nequa; I'm going to check out the Zombie Survival Guide and World War Z tomarrow, thanks for the heads up. Dax; Where's my chain saw? and sawed off shot gun? The game will place more importance over survival than being a Zombie-Fest 2008. However making it the least repetitive as possible is one of the main goals, and item-combining will on the to-do list (Rather low, due to the tremendous amount of work for something like that) You would absolutely have
Some great ideas there capn_danger
I'm leading a 5-member team in Warcraft3 on making a massive Zombie-Based game. While all the members of my team have pitched forth alot of ideas for the game, I still want more. More. MOAR. So; describe the perfect Zombie game you can come up with. It doesn't even have to exist! What are some features that set it apart form other games? What can you do in it that keeps it from getting boring? Is there a story behind it? What are some way
..spam? Great way to advertise your game. Go to the lowest devolopers can!
There's a difference between getting high, and dying through pain (if the knockout part doesn't get you, or they miss a vein)
So the guy is a bit underage and alittle loud, that doesn't deserve a blacklist. You guys are being jersk to him.
I can't win. Must be the games fault. Stupid game that forces you to think ahead to win. What a stupid idea, they should have just made a overpowered unit so I can win with it.
-More interesting combat (range, fire rate, support vessels, ect). -Ability to create custom ship sizes (put more on a ship for a bigger cost) -Starbases that attack ships in their radius. -More dynamic population (propaganda, urges to ally a civilization, ect) -Ability to take loans from people, or loan objects (planets, ships) -more AI strings -Spy vessels (doesn't appear on enemy radar unless special ship is near) -Ability to start a conflict with someone (to tak
There's alot of ignorance and bias-ness in this thread =/ Yes, we do alot of bad things in Iraq, but read up on the Vietnam war a bit. The iraq war has alot more coverage than the Vietnam war. =/ We (USA/UN) spend alot of money in iraq, trying to build up their infrastructure. There's people in it who don't want this to happen for various reasons, and destroy what we put up (we also have a bad habit of doing the same). It takes alot of effort to re-build a city, int
I would like to add that the drivers are several months old, and there are newer drivers. However the newer drivers cause many, many problems with modeling and various other games. EDIT (Oh sure, now the edit button appears. Didn't for my last post): I use a single core I believe.
This happens to me also. AMD Sempron Processer 3400+ ~2.0GHz 1.5 gigs of Ram ATI x1550 video card (drivers:6.14.0010.6734 Putting the mouse on the edge of the screen where it's panning seems to occasionally fix this. I don't believe the panning is due to lag, since I see units moving around and I can select units normally. In fact I can make another turn while this is going on.
How is it a bug? It's working as intended. Galciv believes that you shouldn't give players the ability to destroy planets quickly, since that's what players do in end games. But it's under powered, definitely. Maybe if it could really slow down enemy units near it, than it would be useful (trap enemies)
1: Add a ship that softens the enemy ground forces. Aka: Orbiting cannon. Each attack it does reduces the planets defenders by 3-5% or something. 2:Add more support abilities to ships. Ship battles tend to be boring later on. Having a ship module that decreases the enemies armor would be great! 3: Have ultra-expensive research. These researches cost alot and keep your research tree going late game. These give you a specialized ability (such as a super-weapon, or somethi
The only reason why we got out of the depression was from ww2 :/
This happened to me with Sins of a solar empire. Achieving it first than running seemed to stop this from happening.
The game is overhyped. Not saying it won't be good, but chances are it will have much less replability as some think.
Isn't the whole point of alt+tab getting to the desktop?
Small complaint with AI: On average, it's almost too easy to buy planets off of them. While they were in my terrortory, they were close to the border (and newly colonized). The AI also will build a starport, but no factories.. (This was while playing Average) Does the research take more 'money' to get later on? It seems like research just becomes easier and easier to get, instead of getting harder. I have a stronger economy for researching, but still.. Wh
They've announced that TA will be the last major addition/change to Galciv2 But for galciv3, I would love more tactical battles (along with longer military tech tree).
Haha, calling usa open borders..haha. We're alot more open than alot of other countries, but we'll deport you, or hold you in prisons if you lost your passport!
Is there a way to mod it out of the save files? Or are they encrypted? (Still trying to find those pesky files myself!)
When I tried to create a very fast moving scout and finally built it, it's speed was much lower than I thought it should. In the ship designer window, it's speed was around 27 PC/WK. A bit extreme, but I was planning it as an emergency defense for my extremly long border. Immense maps are fun! However, when I finally built the ship its speed was a hogish 5 PC/WK. A single engine could do that, let alone the 3 or 4 engines on that ship. Tested this alittle furth
Replaced any farms that brought my planet pop past 20 to an entertainment slot. In one turn, my population lost about 100 billion. In that turn I went to 97% approval, and 10k income, with 100% going to social. Yikes!
