Okay, new question: Is there any advantage to stacking consumable modules on a ship? For instance, if I manage to fit 3 constructor modules on a constructor ship, does that mean when I tell it to go make a starbase, that I'll get a starbase plus two upgrades as soon as I use it? Or will it allow me to upgrade the starbase twice, over successive turns? Or do I just use it to build 3 separate starbases? Or does it treat all three modules as one and I reap zero benefit from the 2

It's position, for lack of a better description, is roughly halfway between the center of the galaxy and the edge, probably a prime shipbuilding location. It is one of the few linkpoints to the center of the galaxy (tight clusters) and has zero special tiles, oddly enough. I guess with a size 36 planet, I don't need special tiles, but still... you'd think one of them would have had something. So maybe go ahead and build my Manufacturing Capital on it and turn it into a giant forge? Pity
For other bonuses check wiki: Random event . The list may not be complete, but it should work for a start.
That was EXACTLY what I was looking for. A great read, man, thanks!

I was real, real lucky. A class 36 Planet colonized just a few turns into the game. Now I'm wondering what to do with it? Manufacturing Capital? Research Capital? Something else more sinister? How do you use -your- High-Class Planets?

Interesting, okay, thanks! A couple of more questions: 1.) Is there an easy way to find out which planets have which bonuses from the ethical choices? For instance, I got a 26% starship bonus on...some planet...somewhere... but I neglected to write it down and have since colonized a dozen or more worlds. 2.) Is there a guide out there somewhere that lists all the planetary moral choices and their stated and unstated effects?

Yeah it did. It was the very last boss battle in RE1 or RE2 (I can't remember which). You go up to the Helipad, and there's the big bad T-thingy that you can't kill, you just have to survive enough rounds until cowardly little helicopter boy tosses down a rocket launcher with 2 shots. It only takes one shot at that point I think. But yes, there is a rocket launcher, you just only get to use it once, at the very end of the game. I think it was RE1, because I'm certain the pilot

Howdy all, I'm fairly new to the GalCiv series, and unfortunately ignorant on a few things. However, I'm a voracious reader. Is there a link out there somewhere to all the planetary effects from good v evil choices? Some of them are very unclear from the description, and I was hoping for some sort of a guide on how they work, and what they do. For instance "...get a 65% bonus to your ships." Err... great! 65% to what? Hit Points? Speed? Range? Monkeys? Does the

* Do you still play Civilization IV? Yes, absolutely. I'll probably still be playing it until they come out with Civ V. * What did you think of the "Warlords" expansion pack? Loved it. An absolute must-have if you're to buy this series. * What do you think of the "Beyond the Sword" expansion pack? Still getting used to it, but the extra civs it offers are what really make the expansion. Darius and Pericles are totally uber. The whole spy and corporati
