Ok, found the debug.err Yesterday I uninstalled the game, reinstalled with patch and everything went fine. Today aswel, but after playing some time, the game froze, again after trying to upgrade a starbase. Ok, I installed the new driver (I think) and that fixed a lot. Movies play perfectly and everything. Thanks for that info Kryo. However, after some time playing, I tried to upgrade a Starbase for a second time, and again the game just froze. I couldn't do anything, except moving my mouse. I build and upgraded al least 5 other bases in the few turns before that. I searched for the debug.err file in the \GalCiv2 folder, but I only found a file dated 19/06/2007 (the same as I posted in my f

Ok, I updated my game, it appears to be better now, but my game still freezes when I build starbases (while everything else works perfectly). I have the nVidia 7300 GO, which modded driver do I need to download, and how do I install it? (I'm really a noob in this kind of stuff, sorry ). Its a new laptop (bought it this week), and Vista was already installed on it. Thanks!

Hello, I installed the game on my new laptop today. I read about a lot of problems with Vista, so I installed the latest nVidia drivers (I think). I did not register the game yet, because there is a problem with my serial number (I already submitted a ticket for that). At the main menu and everytime a menu or movie appears, my sound becomes static-y. I dont mind that though (I tend to play with my own music on background), but I also have a game freeze problem. I have a similar problem. I bought the game today (it was in plastic and everything, I can show a copy of the bill if needed), but it says i have an invalid code. The only serial number I can find is a number on the second CD the code has 28 digits and everything, but i cant register, it keeps saying my serial number is correct. I tried registering on the site, but the game doesn't show up in 'registered'.
