@Skarny - I got the link from the store to install it. It says it's version 4.00.017 when I check the 'about' section of the program - not 3.5 as the download would indicate it should be. I'm at a loss. I've tried disabling UAC and my antivirus. Even installed it on XP Pro via VMWare - it still doesn't export it correctly for me. I wish I had a copy of 3.5 to try it with, but I don&#

I downloaded a gadget from https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/desktop_gadgets/271/ and it runs fine. DX Pro *is* activated on the 64 bit W7 through Impulse. I just don't get it. I don't know if this is something my computer is causing or what.

I just dropped down into W7 Pro 32 bit, installed DX pro and had the same results. I noticed upon installation that there is no way to enter a serial number for the program though. Could it be that this isn't activated and that's why it won't export correctly? The link Stardock sent me is for a stand-alone DX Pro installer. I was never prompted for key to unlock it. (But everything else seems to work fine)

No joy, it's doing the same thing as before. The shortcut object works while DX Pro is loaded, but when I export it as a gadget it breaks. I may have to try this on a 32 bit OS and see if that fixes this issue. [e digicons]o_O[/e]

I may have spoken too soon. It works as long as DX builder is open, but when I try to export it as a stand alone gadget (DX Pro) it fails to work. It seems to export fine, but the gadget doesn't function. I'm on W7 64bit. Maybe that's the issue(?) [e digicons]XO[/e]

I'm trying to use Desktop X to create a simple shorcut to - Control Panel\System and Security\System - and I can't seem to get it to work. Is this possible? If so, could someone clue me in on how to do it? I would really appreciate it. Thank you [e digicons]:karma:[/e]

I should add that Avast seems to catch this exploit. I believe I came into contact with this virus a couple of days ago. Avast flagged it and aborted the connection to the offending website. The log account of the event shows the virus as being JS:Pdfka-IY [Expl]. There may be other versions of course. FYI

There is a javascript exploit that has been compromising computers since at least December 11, 2009. The link that I posted has the complete story. I just found out myself & thought I would spread the word at my favorite sites. [e digicons]O:)[/e] http://blogs.zdnet.com/security/?p=5119&tag=content;wrapper

These crashes happened while I used two different skins. The first was "Flash - Live System" by MrPaul & the second was "Windows 7 Ultimate RC3" by Sagor. I am not using Deskcapes or Fences currently. I am using Right Click & Object Dock Plus though. I have a tabbed dock placed at the taskbar position. I don't know if any of that makes any difference.

I have the exact same problem with explorer.exe constantly crashing. It typically does it when IE is open, and then when I have more than one tab running. It doesn't seem to make a difference what WB I use. I have used Diamond and it still crashed. The error points to the same DLL listed above. After I renamed the file, Tweak Vista appeared as not being installed in Impulse, although it was installed. I'm hoping that this will serve as notification to support about this problem. I don't really need support about this, but this seemed like the place to notify others, as well as notify Stardock. In any case - it will be the extent of my efforts since it's not really a problem for me. This is more of a courtesy than anything. [e digicons]:|[/e] HC-88

I had to reformat my computer and so I reinstalled Impulse with the latest download-able version. The first Stardock program I installed was "Tweak Vista". When I clicked on the Tweak Vista icon later in my start menu it said that the program couldn't be found. I went into my program files and discovered that the .exe file was incorrectly labeled "Tweak7" - and this is what was causing the path to come up empty. I renamed it and it works fine now, but I thought someone might w

Considering the condition the state of Michigan was in PRIOR to the recession, I find it very peculiar that "Michigan" would be granting anything to Stardock to help create 50 some jobs. Brad Wardell gave credit to the state of Michigan for the tax credits that allow Stardock to "create" jobs, but did he credit the party who REALLY made the corporate welfare possible for Stardock? That would most likely be the Obama administration - NOT the state of Michigan. So a company that
