Dynasty Tree and offspring issues in WOM Support Elemental Forums

So I've started a new game (not the campaign), finally married and had kids. A couple of issues popped up. 1: The tree isn't properly branching out. At the top is the bride and a baby picture which when you click on will go to sovereign and a couple of his kids. I reinstalled it. The shortcut I had was still causing it to crash, but the start in wasn't also pointing at DarkAvatar like the target which was causing it to crash. So I made a new shortcut and it works.

Game Crash on start up in Bug Reports GalCiv2 Forums

I have Gal.Civ. II: Gold Edition installed on my computer. If I start the game from launch it works fine, but I'm trying to start a game with cheats enabled so I can test some things. But when I use the GC2DarkAvatar.exe instead of the launch .exe it just crashes without starting up. Any ideas?
