1. Rise of Nations - Hope they make RoN 2!!!! 2. Age of Empires 2 3. Age of Empires 3 ( I would drop the game because the random maps and map sizes left much to be desired; however the game play is just too good.) 4. Sins of a Solar Empire 5. Imperium Galactica II (Wish Sins would have taken a few ques from planatary management and ground battles)

A lot. Everyday after work usually and until its time to go to bed! For some reason weekends I dont get started until after-noon. But it all depends on if friends or my wife have something going on or planned then that is usually the exception. I dont watch much TV. Last time I watched TV was to purchase Stargate series 1 - 10 and watched them all then got back into gaming after a month or two of watching all the episodes. I guess it just depends but normally a lot. Its how I keep
I am about to finish off a game now where I have a PQ 32 but I used my Eco. Cap. already but its deffinatley got all the goodies I could put on it. Its also at the back end of my galaxy and far away from enemy lines so its all research and eco.
Glad its finally coming out. I have been following this game for years!! The concept is awesome and the game will still be great even in its current release; however --- - I wish they would have kept the game in a more realistic/normal look, when they released the cute cuddly cartoon version of the models and graphics it scored some serious negative points with me. I was close to canceling my preorder but the premise behind the game is awesome so I stuck it out.
I think it is great news and I am glad that the company is expanding beyond Galactic Civilizations. What I mean by that is that Stardock can work on one genre (Fantasy TBG) and upgrade the technology behind what drives that game then revisit the other genre (Space Sim TBG (GalCiv XX)) and implement the newer technology for that game years later. I enjoy when a game that is released reflects greater leaps in technology and innovations. I have played too many games where a newer
Well unless the ones found on the G-SGC's website are just edits and not actual ships modded for use in the game the sweet ships under the races on our website. Those are pretty sweet models.. Later Aaron034
Hey where do I download those ships for use in the game? Later Aaron034
Most important things to me are as follows. If the following were added to the current state of the game I might actually find myself in trouble. * Current generation graphics for whatever year the newest GCIII game will be released. (have to say that because graphics are important to me) * Well now that I own Sins.OASE. I really like the way the map looks a minor detail. * Have some say in battle tactics in a battle event on both space and ground fighting. (Im just ask
Ok Well I went back to default again and it still flagged for some reason. I think I will just do away with Mods altogether and reinstall. Hopefully that will get rid of the problem. Thanks Kyro. Later Aaron
Yea they are at the beginning of the game. I restarted and deleted the race just to be sure. I am playing a Stardock certified mod (The High Reso. Planet Textures) the only other mod I added was a weapons effects and weapon sounds. No other modifications have been made and the custom races were remade each time they were randomly added as an enemy and flagged at the beginning of the game. I will try and go back to the default game and try again to be sure. Earlier I manually deleted the
Kryo, If I create my custom races (to play against in game) why are the custom races getting flagged in the first place? I did not edit the XML file at all or toggle the personality which is what I thought could have messed with the custom races (flagging metaverse). It doesnt make sense and I made the custom races to be tough not easy or dumbed down. I would like to add as many custom races as possible for a large array of enemies. Later Aaron
Good point! I didnt know about the exploit but the idea makes sense. Of course to make the proper adjustments/balancing the economy would have to be tweaked a little. Perhaps harder/lower income rates so that making decisions on spending in each category requires "deep thought"/consideration. Later Aaron
I'm in! I will pre-order soon. Can we get a time frame for the pre-order and will this be treated like SoasE? "pre-order before the beta or you have to wait till the next phase?" Later Aaron
I have a question about modding. Did you make those models using a 3D program (3D Max?) Or did you use them with the mod programs unlocking all the games parts as jewels? Just curious, I will be making a mod for my own personal use and I have 3D Max 9.5 and will be designing ships for the game for modding purposes. At least that is my goal, It seems like I read that you can mod the game making custom ships with a 3D Program. You just have to program/model hardpoints is the only
Well the AI is still being worked out by Stardock; however it is my understanding that the AI and the recent maps/random maps effect the AI in some negative way. I have experienced it myself. The AI "tends" to conquer its own solar system but doesnt travel to other solar systems. Example: In one of my games I went to a star system where (2) AI had been fighting for domination to control it. I left that system alone and just kept a bounty high on those civilizations to let them keep fighting
Its new I preordered it and am beta testing it. Very fun RTS game 4X in spirit but lacks the depth of a true 4X. Besides I do not want anything to replace the design idea's of GALCIV series. In fact I fully look forward to seeing Galactic Civilizations 3. * All the game truly needs is a better ship editor than the already great ship editor the game currently comes with. * Newer updated graphics as w
Sorry for renewing this thread; however I recently purchased Galactic Civ II DL/DA and it is a great game. Ideas- Increase the way the game looks graphically. The games looks good but when you make a star system make the suns well 'shine' not a textured ball using a NASA UV/Infared 'I think' picture. Just make the sun look like the Suns do in Sins of a Solar Empire from the tactical map. - Have the systems have a minimum amount of planets as they already exist. Just
