I'm new in Game Talk GalCiv2 Forums

I had a ball on my first game on easy, on a medium map. Now I've started a new game on a gigantic map. I've grabbed all the juicy worlds in my local cluster and now I'm starting to run into other races. In my last game I never used treaties, so I want to know why every race would accept a treaty in return for all their ships and money and most of their influence points. Should I rip them all off now, or will it bite me in the ass later.
