bump: I would need it to link a gesture on a touchscreen PC to unhide the dock. As a workaround I wrote some java code to move the mouse cursor to the edge of screen where the dock is. This is executed by a keyboard shortcut which is executed by the gesture. A solution with a hotkey or a command directly would be much more elegant and faster. So anybody here: is it possible?

well, title says it all, alternatively maybe a command to unhide the dock?
Since I have upgraded to WB/SkS 6.4 the text of the explorer address bar (Vista) is vertically misaligned, but ONLY when explorer is maximized-independent of the skin used. Anyone else having this?
both are quite nice, for my taste way too much cluttered up with sys and other info. Not really minimal... but I dig the clock of enigma
Xiandi is right, it´s the missing (or wrong) layer set structure of GIMP and Paint.net which makes them incompatible with Xion... It´s a well known problem, but there have been issues discussed (and solved) on the Xion forum afair...
text colors in Skinstudio/WB are only one thing: chaos! which kills any fun in making WB skins... [e digicons]:banhammer:[/e] and it´s really ridiculous, Windows 7 is on it´s way and SkS/WB doesn´t even work with Vista (and btw also with XP) [e digicons][/e]
jojo: Thanks a lot for the offer. I don´t use both of messenger channels, so I´ve sent it to the same email adresses, but I guess you didn´t get anything, did you? If you want, you can download the skin here: http://leuchtstoff.deviantart.com/art/RadicalSqr-Windowblinds-Vista-100520671 [e digicons]:)[/e]
2of3: yes, that´s the thread I had read before (but forgotten, cause I still used PS7 at that time...). thanks for the hint. really strange that WB, which just alters the look, somehow influences the function of some applications ... [e digicons]o_O[/e] but as I said, I´m happy it´s not my skin that causes problems [e digicons]:)[/e]
thanks a lot that worked! Now that I read your fix, I remember there were actually a threads for this before, sorry [e digicons][/e] I´m happy it´s not only a problem of my WB, anyway very weired...
the problem is, that with some of my (created by me) skins in PS CS3 some menu items are dead. I mean not displayed wrong but COMPLETELY inactive, like disabled. This does not happen with my latest WB skin, although everything is the same there. [e digicons]:annoyed:[/e] This is the case e.g. for the complete block in file/ between "close" and "place...". I can´t imagine that WB somehow influences the function of a program so I´m completely helpless..
post only to find this thread again... cause I also wanna know if the problem of button face/dialog background color filling up transparent parts of buttons can be solved or will be fixed somehow...
maybe you mean "display open windows along with my icons" which you can check in "dock properties"
agree Big time, when i get people on DA or other sites that ask how to load my themes (and there are a lot), i just reply www.windowblinds.net ...but... I always cringe knowing that quite a bit of it is going to look bad on my work..using the trial version.
that´s it. And I guess many people´s first contact with WB is this way, seeing some skin they love and testing it with the trial version. And many of them ARE definitely disappointed from w
I remember the good old days of DOS, all you had to do was set system date back every thirty days... lol.... I had a trial version of McAfee for like 5 years...
haha, yes I remember those days well, too. But I would never do it nowadays, just because a correct system time/date has become so important (e.g. for emails, to trace back file versions etc.). And as you mentioned WB is rather cheap...
yes, shure. Best solution is a time limit - with full function. An incomplete trial version gives a wrong impression of the final product, that´s it...
It´s a pity that the trial version of WB doesn´t support third (fourth, fifth or whatever) party skins completely. I mean the WB skins from skinners out there. Not everybody is impressed by a dragon spitting fire, although it is done extremely well and shows the potential of WB. But there are many potential users/customers, which just want to test a skin that´s out there, which they love from the preview. But what they get is a broken version with no a
ah ok, thank you, Cavan and cplair! Just saw it also works, if you select windows-aero in the "appearence" dialog of windows AFTER having unloaded WB (seems like WB just substitutes Windows-classic or standard) ...
maybe that´s been asked before, however I din´t find anything... Title says it all, and I mean turn it off without uninstalling it. When clicking unload Windowblinds in the info pane it is reloaded after restarting the computer (that´s what I don´t want)...
what would be really nice is, if one could add glyphs also to the window frames. You could add nice ornaments to the middle (or wherever) of e.g. a bottom bar, without being stretched/shrinked. I bet this would allow for lots of new creative elements for UI design...
couldn´t update my skinstudio so far cause the laptop was broken, did that today and what did I see? You can now add glyphs to per pixel borders !!!!!!!!!! That´s GREAT!!!!!! :CON
4="not possible/not allowed" (same as 6?) 5, 6, 7 I never saw... (see: [link="https://forums.wincustomize.com/319752"]WWW Link[/link])
It never hurts to see or ask again.
agree completely. not to be misunderstood: I mentioned that only to show that questions recur because there are no clear answers from stardock :-)
I've never understood why Stardock tends to ignore its skinners.

Still some things that need skinning.
some of the questions/requests here were already adressed a long time ago, like this one from January 2 (half a year ago!!!!!) [link="https://forums.wincustomize.com/171742"]WWW Link[/link] (there were some more like that...) at that time there were not so many skinners here into Vista so there wasn´t as much reply as it is now, b
Yeah, they both do the same thing. Button type 2 has priority over TSMB if you skin them both. Perhaps they are used differently between diferent software but I haven't run into that yet.
ok. well, this comes out with this annoying trial-and-error-thing... ;p
Adam finally drilled this into my head(the old SKS developer),SKS just writes the code...
yes shure, it´s WB (together with Vista). But sometimes SkS even boosts confusion. e.g. toolbar buttons: text states to modify are messed up. mouse-over=disabled disabled=mouse-over The problem now is in the preview of SkS: It doesn´t show how WB reacts to the code but what would show up if those states were correct. So no chance to realize there´s somet
The "toolbar style menubar button" is the correct image to skin for those buttons but they probably do the same thing.
hmm strange, for me only the images of "button type 2" (in Vista) show up there (I use a blank image for TSMB).:-) here´s my memo image for some things in vista explorer...
