Completely deleting the game folders and reinstalling the game seems to have resolved the issue now. Thank you for your time.

This was my first time trying to start a new game. I was only playing the Dread Lords Campaign before it.

No, just a regular game. I had mods installed for Dread Lords, but not for Dark Avatar, and I just deleted them from the folder thinking they may have somehow been responsible, but the results are the same.

Tried to find a similar bug before posting, but came up empty. When I try to start a New Game in Dark Avatar, it CTD's after I click Next on the first game setup screen. I thought it was the 1.59 patch doing it, but after reinstalling the game it still happened on 1.5.
