It seems that my problem is similar to that at https://forums.galciv2.com/307966 But the proposed solution for changing the .ini doesn't fit my case. Is there any way out?

It seems no problem to run the GalCiv2.exe and GC2DarkAvatar.exe direct.

My GCII installed in Windows Vista was running smooth until I upgraded to SP1 yesterday.
