We have CIS in fact I even made them into a pack for download over at I mod. I think I will add the eclipse in the alpha release and don't worry there are a bunch of calamari cruisers mc-40s to 90s.

Ok what do you need to do to a texture to allow the game to change the ship or compontents color, ie all the parts and ships are able to be changed to what ever color you select for your faction. I know in the past I have seen it where a specific color does this but I am not entirely sure and don't really know where to look for a more clear explanation. Any help on this would be most welcomed.
Have you thought about setting up camp over at the I-mod website? Good place to have your mod hosted.
Yeah I think this has gotten a little too heated here. Lets get back to the additional content. I am excited, an editor (does this mean we can create custom factions again. I have really missed that option and I just can't go back to DL having tasted the sweetness of TA), and lost in this is debate was new AI improvements.
Hard to say. From a pure model stand point. Not bad, I mean its better than I can do. And a good modeler is worth his weight in gold around here. I would have to reseve judgment completely till it was closer to completion. But from a mod theme point of view it depends on your inspiration for it. This mod has a intresting feel to it. A whole WWII in space. You might consider searching out some of the x-type ships and planes of WWII as source material for the mod. think it might a
I wanted to buy Sins but I am not. I was hoping that Sins would be a RTS version of Galciv2 so I could finally command the custom ship I was building but there seems to be a real lack of customazation is a real sticky issue. Only three races and no ship editor. Not to say that I am not impressed with the features they did put in. I am stoked about carriers and the military system. Perhaps an exapansion or something will quell my concerns about the details. It is sad though I mean
I wouldnt go space navy ships but I would go more the space ship design. I guess you would have to concept design what each nations ships would look like perhaps a bit more easy for the USA and USSR since you could build on thier space programs designs. The fighters I guess but just for the tiny hulls.
Yeah I like that. natural rivals would be cool. I can also see the civ 4 system working as well really I think that was what I was talking about too. The main idea is that there is techs built off previous government types so that there is a Imperial/evil goverment tech and a good/democratic tech tree.
I hope I dont come off sounding ungrateful, cause I love the expansion so far, but do you guys plan to release any new ship jewels? Creating ships is half the fun and considering the energy placed into all the new features I hope that does not get over looked.
Well yeah the words are the same more or less in meaning there just place holders for advancement through a specific form of government. So Imperial government Pros: military production bonus Cons: larger upkeep on colonies Each section betters the pros and cons Warlord Empire ---Basic Empire Cheifton Empire ---Increased central control (increases Military production like 5%) Dictator Empire ---Increased politcal control (Papragan
I am still waiting for some benefits to being good. Do all the good decisions have to cost you some how? Can atleast 25% if not more be favarable to the good guy?
I think it is odd that so many think that multiplayer would hurt the game. First off Civ's multiplayer options are excellent and its a turn based game. Just look to that game for how to set it up. As far as the game, I dont really see what is lost, infact they could be som many things gained. Would it not be neat to allow players to create custom factions and play together. Civ does not let you do that. All the customization that Galciv2 gives you, it would be the reward for play
