I have noticed this too. Does anyone know if this is to be fixed in the next patch?

I would like it if the game had a bit more mystery about it each time you started. Games like Elite (and Frontier) were good at impressing upon you just how big space really is and you had to play for days to find all the gems hidden in the game. When exploring space it would be good if you weren't able to discover all of the other Civs within a few turns of the game. I appreciate you can set the map size to Gigantic but even then you still know which direction to head in to discover
This may be a stupid question but does the retail Gold Edition (DreadLords & Dark Avatar) include the downloads in the Collectors Edition?
Just to update anyone that might read this in retrospect; I have received a new Serial Number via Email from Stardock Support in less than 24 hrs. It seems some Gold Edition's were sent out with a Serial Number missing. So for anyone else having this problem email [email protected]. I don't know if the SN works or not yet - but I am sure it will! Rob.
Thanks drrider. I've triple checked everything I had - no SN anywhere. The CD was still wrapped in cellophane so I can probably rule out someone at the shop tampering with it also.
Thanks for such a prompt reply Kyro.
I have just bought a brand new copy of GalGiv II Gold Editon from Gamestop - but there was no serial number on the manual or the CD case. How do I get a serial number now? Has this happened to anyone else?
Did you ever find out where your serial number was for the Gold Edition? The same thing has happened to me.
