Thank you..I feel so stupid. I am really trying to get into this game. These forums are much more helpfull than the game manual. Now to go out and blast a few things!

When you research a new tech for your ships (weapons, defences) where and when does it show up on the consruct ship screen? I am up to shields level 2 and do not see it on the info, and only beam weapons appear even though I have researched lasers. On ships already built, do I have to upgrade them to get the new tech?

I don't fully understand ship movement. When I click on the "FIND " button, I don't cycle through to the next ship with movement points. My ships are not orbiting a planet, they are all over the sector. I end up having to scroll all over the place to find my ships.... this is getting tiresome. I know I can use the ship/planet locater in the interface, but there must be an easier way. Also, when I find my ships, I still have to right click on the destination I want to send them to, EVERY time. Is

Thanks for the help. My ships are not in orbit around a planet though. I know about the IU ship locater, but I was hoping the "find" button would make it easier.

I can't get the " FIND " button to work right. After I move a ship, and click the FIND button to switch to my next ship with moves, the camera goes right back to the previous ship. I end up having to scroll aroung the map or use one of the menus to find my ships. This will get very difficult when I start to build up my fleet.
