"O n March 5, 2006, a StarForce employee posted a link to an illegal download source of Galactic Civilizations 2, a game developed by StarDock which does not use mandatory copy protection.[13] StarForce later issued an apology for this act after it received a great deal of attention on the Internet. The map scrolls crazily. When I am in city mode that little icon in the upper left that shows the planet spins and rotates like crazy, same for ship. Anything in a window that is rotatable goes absolutely crazy. Has anyone else experienced this? Need some help here. Thanks

I've heard the horror stories about stardock and so I was very concerned about installing this game. But I like this type of game so I decided to risk it. Will I need to have lots of background programs running, extreme security issues and complex registration process etc? My main concern is those sneaky little background programs that slow down my computer performance. I'm willing to deal with the other fascist policies if the game runs well. Thanks.
