How can i update the drivers?

I have the same problem. My pc restarts itself as i try to start a new game. Ok so i just bought the game, installed it, updated it to 1.40 and whenever i try to start a new game, after picking race and customizing the galaxy, it goes to the loading screen and then my pc just restarts itself. I havent gotten a chance to play it yet. Any ideas on how to get it to work?
