This is a solution for the Galactic Civlizations 2 GOLD edition to be recognized/imported into Impulse. I don't recommend anyone going into their registry to make changes (Backup up your registry before making any changes if you do decide to edit it) The following is what I needed to do on a Windows 7 PC: From the START menu select RUN type REGEDIT and press OK Navigate to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Stardock\Drengin.net\

I've noticed the issue as well. I was originally playing as Altarian, then a game as the Yor, and most recently Torian. The latter 2 without any research bonuses selected. In my Torian game however I was utilizing a Research Mining Resource and I wonder if the mine's bonus may have contributed to the symptom as the Racial Bonus does. It may be when a civ's research bonus gets too high it flips the counter it is using. i.e. Many games use an FF hex maximum for a decimal value
I'm playing again for the first time in awhile on an Immense galaxy size and was surprised by the lack of trade income available. I had a route that was worth 24 that quickly dwindled down to 10. In DA and DL I would use trade income as my economy basis for the early part of the game until I could build up specialized planets. I'm glad to hear I'm not imagining this change and that other people have noticed it as well. I like trade the way it was, where it was very beneficial
