So, I used to encounter this bug, where late game, sometimes planetary invasion just doesn't work, and I have to reattempt it (doesn't actually initiate invasion), but now I'm getting it quite often, early game on a smaller map. Not only do the invasions not work most of the , it won't show the invasion happening, and it breaks the GUI so I have to close down the game in task manager. ANy idea what the heck is going on? I saw you mention Marvin Kosh's space weapons fix mod, so does your excellent mod work with that one?
Hi. I was just playing my game, and I declared war on the Krynn when I had a few Corvettes made. Well I end turn, starting the war, and I notice 2 ships near Earth. I didn't recognize them, so I clicked on them, and they're MY ships. One is a 69/53/54 Attack, 23/26/26 Defense Arnorian Battleship, the other is a 46/26/50 Att., 23/26/26 Arnorian Frigate. I didn't have an event, so I'm assuming this is a bug? It's a pretty awesome bug, but it's very empowering and unfair. I was expecting a balan
Start your game and use the "save map" key (IIRC ctrl-G) in the cheat mode. Edit your map with what you want and start the game up again by loading the map you edited.
Hmm, I tried that, but the app auto crashes when I try to load the saved map.
How could you even want to cheat in that game?! That's a slap in the face! Lol!
If you took the time you read my post, you would of read that it's for ROLEPLAY purposes. The game doesn't quite handle the Sol System as needed for my ROLEPLAYING purposes, so I did a minor edit to make the home system planets habitable. Also, I'll just play legit after the edit, or do as Kontana suggested. Thank you Kyro fo
Hi, it's been some time since I played GC2, with moving, and being involved with someone, but as my gf renewed my interest in Civ3 and GC2, I decided to start up a game. For Role Playing purposes, I used a simple cheat for Saturn and Jupiter, making them both class 3 planets. This went over well. Now, for further rp purposes, I had planned on starting with the planets in the Sol System all under the Terran flag, by using the Ctrl + L cheat, "Assign Planet." Well I used it, and Saturn came out
You've updated the textures again? Well hope so, cause damn those planets and star look nice. O_O
"Perhaps you are working with a newer version of Civ 4?" Ahh, you may be right. I was looking at BtS, thats why I was so shocked you "couldn't find it." I apologize, I should have checked Warlords, or Vanilla first..I thought it was that way in all of them. About the DVD issue, I would suggest a NOCD crack. I do this with ALL of the games I own, unless they make a patch that removes the cd check(Like NWN or Sacred Gold)
That's hilarious. Guess they deserved it.
I get your point. While I don't tweak my BIOS to overclock, why would you have to uninstall games when upgrading your PC? I've done hardware upgrades, and didn't have to touch anything IN the HD. Now, about uninstalling..if you don't clean your registry, won't your registration info remain on the comp, even after uninstalling? I also understand people have more than 1 rig, as I have this desktop and a laptop, but 5 still seems a bit much.
Civilization IV A horrible game. Too complicated, not much left of the simplicity of Civ, doesn't run in a window (important for turn-based games), and requires its DVD for playing. Also, there is so much graphics, it runs slower than a turn-based game (which has all the time in the world to do its thing) should. I loved Civ (and especially SMAC) because it managed to create a complicated worl
If I had a 360, or better GPU, I would be excited about Fallout 3 and Fable 2, but I don't, so the only game I'm waiting to play is Persona 4.
I see everyone jumping on the "5 activation" bandwagon. What, each one of you wants to install, and play this game ONLINE on 5+ computers..? Unless you do, for whatever weird reason, I don't see why anyone cares. Played several skirmishes last night, and it's not bad, but wish they kept the squad thing from C&C3. I'm sick of "1 infantry at a time" type RTS games. :/
Thanks for fixing the tile placement! Gonna start up a game now. :]
Hey, I'm wondering about Alliances when you have ascension crystals. I have the techs needed, the AI has the techs, and I have the right relations with some AI, but I still can't make an alliance. Is this because of the crystal, or is this a bug? Thanks.
Really? God, I feel stupid if thats the case. It looked like the kind of error you'd get in Civ, lol.
That pink crap near the front of the ship.
Hi, as you'll see, I noticed a graphical glitch on a Dark Yor ship.
I will talk to boogiebac about getting this fixed, i know what the problem is already. I'll see if we can work it into the next update.
Sweet! This is great news. :D
Wish they'd fix this sh!t. I can understand they're all working on PM, but does this games community have no importance? D: I used to be amazed by the support of this game, but now I'm quite disappointed.
I get this crap, and I didn't play the betas.
While it's harder to manage then in DA, it's still pretty simple. All you need to do now is actually pay attention to the maintenance cost of each improvement. For example, other than the first 5-7ish planets you should colonize, don't colonize another, unless you have 10bc/week to spare(cost of initial colony.) And be careful about building alot of research centers early on, cause they can cost alot. You should also check out that guys suggestion, and see if it works for you.
I noticed this too, as the Terran Alliance though. Something that would of took 6 turns jumped to 12 after I started getting research treaties. Shouldn't that decrease time, not make it longer? I smell a bug!
It's more than "minor", imo. They shouldn't have boasted "The new planet surfaces are vastly improved", if all they did was draw some new maps, and let the computer place tiles stupidly. Any modder with time and skill can make new ones, so I hardly see any improvement, if it's still randomized. I don't mean to complain..but considering what they can do, I don't see why this isn't "vastly improved", like they claimed it to be. :/
So were stuck with this absurd placement? With there only being so many maps, can't they assign each one specific areas that will be usable? I hardly believe this would be a drag on many computers, but if so, can we have a choice to enable a more process using placement? (Like the advanced AI. It can be a drag on comps, but we still have the choice to use it.) If thats too much to ask for, can you ATLEAST fix the homeworlds? Oh, and I don't think the planet quality bonus is working.. besides tha
