Because I found one tnpleasant thing in Impulse. It doesn't allow me to enter the install path which I want. For example it installs DesktopX everywhere in my hard drives but not in a place I want to install it.
That was an annoyance of mine too, but I finally figured it out. Click on the Stardock logo in the top left. It will show you a menu and you can choose preferences from that. One of the options there is to set the folders

I've noticed this behavior now as well. I can't seem to pick Mode 1 AND have the ability to have a hot key to cycle between VD's. This means that if I want a hot key, I have to deal with an unfiltered taskbar OR have the unfiltered taskbar and no hot key. This was not the previous behavior. Can we get this fixed back to the old way? Please? <img src="http://images.stardock.com/sd/SDC24.gif "/

Thanks yraq and BobW! Between the two of you it's working now. What's interesting is that I tried the complete uninstall/re-install and watched the Common Files/Stardock folder this time through. When started from scratch, SDC actually installed the MCP files in the right place. And then when it did the most recent update to SDC (which required a reboot), those files mysteriously disappeared. When I added them back, Object Dock Systray w

I've updated to the most recent Object Dock Plus and now I'm not getting anything in the systray views. The history says something about needing an updated MCP file, but I can't seem to figure out if I have it or how to get it. Is this what the problem is? I've uninstalled and re-installed my entire Object Desktop and Object Dock installs in an attempt to get things to "update" if they aren't but the problem refuses to rectify. Anyone have any idea

It may be faster BUT I'm frequently having thumbnails and previews failing to download and show up in the WinCustomize Browser (I get the little red X for the picture). It's kind'a hard to know what to download if I can't take a look in advance. Sure, I can go to the site (even in the Browser) and look at things, but that kind'a defeats the purpose of the browser, doesn't it? Any ideas on that front? Thanks, Brian, for replying. T-Fuby Cursor, for instance, keeps downloading the Dusk Beatnik File that I downloaded previously. I don't know why but that is an example. A couple of other skins I've tried to download (I don't remember the names off hand) had similar results - they all wanted to re-download the Beatnik file. I re-installed the WinCustomize SkinBrowser and that seems to have gotten rid of the odzip problem. I may have an idea what might be the issue here. See

I'm still having fits with the SkinBrowser. A couple of selected items (like the T-Fuby cursor) instead re-download items that I've already done. No matter what i do, it just re-downloads other items. AND I'm still getting random errors after downloading other files. For instance, if I try to install several WB skins from the download list, I get "Error: Failed to load ODZip.dll" which I assume is OD Zip related. It's loaded, it's installed but it doesn't seem to work here

Just got Skin Browser and my subscription to WinCustomize. I've been able to download WB skins, Cursors, wallpapers, etc, not problems. Winstyles seem to have issues though. I "apply" the winstyle in the browser. The browser downloads the file, usually small, and then kicks off an Extraction dialog. Which sits there. and sits there. and sits there. Never seems to do anything until I cancel it several minutes later. I'm behind a corporate firewall, could that be blocki
