Thank you both. Both are great ways of doing what I was trying to do. Using the "Planet / Ship List" and then clicking the ship being built rectangle just to the right works wonders if all I want to do is buy or change the ship being built. Also I agree that going to the "Civilization Manager" screen first and then select the planets who are ship building I can toggle through the list quite quickly. Also thanks for the tip on getting / going back to the planet "Colony
How do I toggle through the Planets in pre defined selected order? As an example: I select the planet list and then choose say "Ship Building" as my pre defined search. I will then double click on the planet at the top of the list which will bring me to the Colony Management screen. So far so good. I take care of the ship building business on that planet and now I want to move on to the next "Ship Building" planet so I hit "Next Planet". Prob
Kryo Thanks for the quick response. Regarding “Ship Upgrade” I'll change my interface settings on the options menu. Regarding the Planet / Colony’s relative location on the Space Map: I think an additional function near the 'Done" command (or the "done" command itself) which would bring you to a 50% to 75& or so zoom in (adjustable by the player in options) on the star map with the planet highlighted would be a great way to help players quickly see where the planet they ar
Two Quick Questions Please? 1 - Shipyard - Ship Upgrade: After installing the 1.4 patch from ver. 1.0 it seems the "Shipyard / Ship Upgrade" screen mechanics have changed. Now it seems when you choose a previously upgraded ship to upgrade, it automatically strips away all previously installed useable items such as engines, weapons, modules, basically everything except each cosmetic hull add on. This seems awkward. Is there any way to just get to the "Ship U
Thanks for the input. I have been trying to expand AFAP so my funds do get low. I will have to make sure I balance them out prpoperly. I will log in shortly and try the above. Best JMD
Help! Please! I am stumped. I am not sure why this starts to happen but when starting off on a planet why will the building structure "Build Queue" sometimes give a build time frame of NEVER. In these situations it seems the only way to get moving is the BUY the structures which is very expensive. I know I must be missing something so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance JMD
Kryo Thanks very much for the fast reply. After reading of all the changes made from patch version to patch version I had thought saved game files might not be forward compatible. Now I am very glad I asked. Also for what ever it is worth: Being a pc gamer now for more than 25 years (gulp) I must give kudos’s to Stardock for such a great game and more importantly for such excellent attention and support. Well done Best JMD
Hello All Although I bought this game shortly after release I have just begun to play. Great game My question is: I am about 150 turns into my first game and want to install the 1.4 patch. Will installing the 1.4 patch destroy / affect my current game and or my saved games? If so, will saving "saved game files" elsewhere and re installing them later work? Any help would be greatly appreciated. We have just run out of new planets and my once frie
Thanks for the quick replys. In your opinion has there been any changes made in the 1.4 patch that you do not agree with? Best JMDFLA
Hello All Sorry as I am a bit late to this party but I just installed GCII althought I purchased it shortly after release last year. Blame Oblivion! Please, I one quick question. Do I need to install each patch one at a time or will simply installing the last 1.4 patch do the trick. Although still in the noob stages I am loving this game so far. The ships some mebers have designed are jawdropping! Thanks in advance Best JMDFLA
