...this is actually one of the advertised features for Windows 8, a lot of people are looking forward to synching their settings between their devices. Bill Gates was talking about it a few days ago. It's what it's designed to do... if you don't want that, as Zubaz said, you will need to disable synching.

It is legal, he's using Parallels. Perfectly OK, and not that uncommon (several people run Windows on Macs using Parallels).

I am also interested in buying Start8 and Fences, but I am going to wait until a while after Windows 8 has been publicly available, as I have heard Fences is not yet 'officially' compatible with Windows 8 (there might be a new version or something).
