I purchased tota digital release and had a cd sent to me. Now I would like to update from 1.96 to 2.0, but my game machine no longer has an internet connection. I have downloaded impulse to my laptop and tota shows up in my games when I log in, but the only option I see is to install it. I just want to download the patch not try to install this game to a laptop. How can I accomplish this?
I am using individual constructors, but I too have only seen this in TotA.
I just bought 7 PQ12 planets and 2 techs for 8000 credits. I am playing terrans with a pretty good diplomatic rating but come on. Also the Torians declared war on me almost immediately but will not accept a peace treaty unless I give them all my techs and all but 1 world. I have now taken 9 Torian worlds through invasion but still they refuse a peace treaty. I would have to agree that diplomacy needs a little work. Disabling tech trading will not resolve buy half an empire for a few credits
I would like to thank everyone for gal civ II and all of its expansions. Great game. This is a very minor issue but I thought I'd post it anyway. When I first build a resource starbase, I get a pop-up to confirm the build, followed immediately buy another identical pop-up. This does hinder construction of the starbase but is strange. Also in the DA and DL it told me how many starbases I had, now it always says I have 0 starbases no matter how many I have. I am
I also have this sound issue and it has happened all the way back to the original gal civ. I have tried a variety of sound cards with different machines with no relief. It does not make the game unplayable, but I do enjoy the soundtrack and background music. It just puts you in the game. I have also noticed that it is not only after several years, but also right from the beginning, although to a lesser extent. I have am using realtek ac97. The end of turn processing I do notice a lag later
